Cookie Policy

Last Revised: October 7, 2026
US Visitors
Technologies Used: PackTist Attribution Cookie Google Analytics 4 Microsoft Clarity Meta Pixel Live Chat
Plain-Language Summary

We use a small set of cookies. One is our own and remembers which ad or campaign link brought you to us, for 90 days. Google Analytics counts visits, Microsoft Clarity shows us how people use our pages, and the Meta Pixel measures our Facebook and Instagram ads. The live chat keeps track of your conversation. We don't sell your information. You can block or delete any of these in your browser, and the site keeps working.

Section 01

Overview

This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on packtist.com, what each one does, how long it lasts, and how you can control it. PackTist is a trading name of IMT Solutions LLC, 640 Harbor BLVD, West Sacramento, California 95691, USA.

It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers how we handle personal information more broadly, and our Terms of Service.

Who This Applies To

PackTist serves customers in the United States. We don't show a cookie consent banner. The cookies described here are set when you use the site, and Section 10 explains how to block or remove them at any time.

Section 02

What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are

A cookie is a small text file a website saves in your browser. The next time your browser loads a page from that site, it sends the cookie back, which lets the site recognize your browser or remember something about your visit.

Some sites also use your browser's local storage, which works in a similar way but stays on your device instead of being sent with each page request. In this policy, "cookies" covers both.

A first-party cookie is set by packtist.com itself. A third-party cookie is set by another company's domain, such as a service embedded in our page.

Section 03

The Cookies We Use

This is the complete list. Most visitors receive the Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Meta Pixel cookies. The others appear only in the situations described.

Name Set By What It Does Lasts Category
pt_click PackTist Remembers the ad click ID and campaign tags from the link that brought you here, so a later quote request can be credited to that ad or campaign. Only set when you arrive from such a link. 90 days Attribution
_ga Google Analytics Distinguishes one browser from another so visits can be counted. 2 years Analytics
_ga_CD84FNE5QS Google Analytics Keeps track of your current visit for our Google Analytics property. 2 years Analytics
_clck Microsoft Clarity Remembers a Clarity ID for your browser, so repeat visits are recognized. 1 year Analytics
_clsk Microsoft Clarity Links the pages you view in one visit into a single session recording. 1 day Analytics
_fbp Meta (Facebook) Identifies your browser to Meta, so it can measure our Facebook and Instagram ads and show them to people who have visited our site. 90 days Advertising
_fbc Meta (Facebook) Stores the click ID when you arrive from a Facebook or Instagram ad, so Meta can connect your visit to that ad. 90 days Advertising
Chat visitor data PackTist live chat May store a visitor identifier so the chat window can pick up your conversation if you come back. Until cleared Functional
_vcrcs Our hosting provider Set only when our hosting provider runs a security check on unusual traffic, to confirm you are a real visitor. Short-lived Strictly necessary
pt_cart PackTist Local storage that keeps the products and quantities in your cart on this device. It holds no prices and no personal information. Until you check out or clear it Strictly necessary
Staff sign-in cookies PackTist Keep PackTist staff signed in to our internal admin area. Visitors and customers never receive these. 2 hours Strictly necessary (staff only)

Microsoft may also set cookies on its own domains, such as clarity.ms, under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Google's cookies are described in How Google uses cookies. Meta may set its own cookies on facebook.com, particularly if you are logged in to Facebook, under the Meta Privacy Policy.

Section 04

Strictly Necessary

When our hosting provider's protection systems see traffic that looks automated, they may show a brief security check and set a _vcrcs cookie once you pass it, so you aren't checked again on every page. It holds no personal information and expires quickly.

If you add a product to your cart, a pt_cart entry in your browser's local storage remembers the products and quantities until you check out or clear it. It holds no prices and no personal information, and our website reads it only to show your cart.

Our internal admin area uses sign-in cookies to keep PackTist staff logged in for up to 2 hours. We don't offer customer accounts, so these are never set in a customer's browser.

These cookies can't be switched off within the site, because the security check, your cart and staff sign-in don't work without them.

Section 05

Advertising & Attribution

When you reach packtist.com from an online ad or a tagged campaign link, the web address carries a click ID or campaign tags. Our own pt_click cookie saves them the moment you land, because they disappear from the address as soon as you visit another page. It stores:

  • The ad click ID, if there is one: gclid, gbraid or wbraid from Google ads, or fbclid from Facebook and Instagram ads;
  • The campaign tags on the link (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term and utm_content);
  • The website that sent you, the page you landed on, and the time you arrived.

If you arrive by typing our address, from a search result without an ad, or from an untagged link, this cookie is never set.

5.1 How It Is Used

We read the cookie only when you send us a quote request or another form, or place an order through our cart. The click ID and campaign details are attached to your inquiry in our customer system, so we know which ad or campaign led to it. We may then report that inquiry back to Google Ads or Meta, so they can tell us which ads are working. For Meta, we also send it server to server through Meta's Conversions API, alongside the Meta Pixel described below.

The cookie expires after 90 days, which matches the window Google allows for reporting an ad click.

5.2 Meta Pixel

We use the Meta Pixel, a piece of code from Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram. It records visits to our pages and actions such as sending a quote request, and sends them to Meta. This lets us see which Facebook and Instagram ads lead to inquiries, and lets Meta show our ads to people who have visited our site.

The pixel sets the _fbp cookie, and the _fbc cookie when you arrive from a Meta ad. Both last 90 days. Meta processes this data under the Meta Privacy Policy.

Advertising and Your Rights

Under some US state privacy laws, using the Meta Pixel can count as "sharing" personal information for advertising. You can opt out at any time using the options in Section 10.

Section 06

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how many people visit, which pages they read and where they came from. It sets the _ga and _ga_CD84FNE5QS cookies, both lasting 2 years.

Besides page views, Google Analytics records two actions: sending a quote, sample or contact request, and clicking or tapping one of our phone numbers. We look at these as totals, to see which pages lead to inquiries. Google processes this data under its own Privacy Policy.

Section 07

Session Recordings and Heatmaps

We use Microsoft Clarity to see how visitors move through our pages: where they click, how far they scroll, and where they hesitate. Clarity turns this into heatmaps and replays of individual visits. We use it to find pages that confuse people and forms that are hard to finish, not to identify you.

Clarity sets the _clck cookie (1 year) and the _clsk cookie (1 day). Microsoft processes this data under the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Section 08

Live Chat

The chat window on our site is part of PackTist's own customer service system, and whatever you type there is sent to our team to answer your question.

The chat may keep a visitor identifier in your browser so that, if you come back, your conversation can continue where it left off.

Section 09

What We Don't Use

  • No other ad networks. Apart from the Meta Pixel described in Section 5, we don't place advertising code such as Google Ads remarketing tags on this site.
  • No sale of your information. We don't sell personal information collected through cookies or anything else.
  • No payment details in cookies. When you pay an invoice or check out from your cart, you do it on a secure Stripe payment page. That page belongs to Stripe and sets its own cookies under Stripe's Cookie Policy.
  • No cookies for sign-in. We don't offer customer accounts. Your Dedicated Packaging Manager handles your order directly.
Section 10

Your Choices

You can block, delete or limit cookies at any time. The site keeps working if you do. The chat may not recognize you on a return visit, and we won't be able to credit your inquiry to the ad that brought you.

10.1 In Your Browser

Browser Where to Find Cookie Settings
Google Chrome Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies or Delete browsing data
Safari (Mac) Settings, then Privacy, then Manage Website Data
Safari (iPhone and iPad) Settings app, then Safari, then Advanced, then Website Data
Mozilla Firefox Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Cookies and Site Data
Microsoft Edge Settings, then Cookies and site permissions

Clearing all browsing data in your browser removes every cookie listed in Section 3, including anything the chat has stored.

10.2 With the Services We Use

  • Google Analytics: install Google's opt-out browser add-on, which stops Google Analytics on every site you visit;
  • Google ads: manage the ads you see in My Ad Center;
  • Facebook and Instagram ads: manage them in Meta's Ad Preferences. To stop the Meta Pixel in your browser, block cookies from facebook.com or turn on your browser's tracking protection.

10.3 By Asking Us

If you'd rather we didn't report your inquiry back to Google Ads or Meta, email support@packtist.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share Request". We will stop using the ad click ID attached to your inquiry for ad reporting, and stop sending your inquiry to Meta. Blocking cookies in your browser, as described above, stops the Meta Pixel itself. Our Privacy Policy explains your other rights under US state privacy laws.

Section 11

Links to Other Sites

Our pages link to Trustpilot, Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp. These are plain links. Apart from the Meta Pixel described in Section 5, none of those services loads on our pages or sets a cookie until you click through, and once you do, their own cookie policies apply.

Product images are delivered by Cloudinary, which serves the image files without setting cookies.

Section 12

Changes to This Policy

We update this policy whenever we add, remove or change a tool that sets cookies on our site. The "Last Revised" date at the top shows when it last changed. If a change affects how your information is used, we will also note it in our Privacy Policy.
