Description
Overview

Vinyl Record Mailers

Corner standoff engineered so an impact meets the box instead of the jacket.

A book-fold corrugated blank that folds around the record with the corners held clear of the walls. Seam splits, ring wear, warping and corner dings are the four failures it exists to prevent.

Crafted to specification

Every detail. Intentional.

The record touches nothing

Any contact point is where damage transfers.

Corners are the impact

Standoff geometry is engineered, not incidental.

Stiffeners stop flexing

A lone LP in a slim mailer warps permanently.

Condition is value here

A ding costs a real fraction of a collectible's worth.

Do-not-bend marking

Handling instruction printed where it is seen.

Drop-tested on a corner

The impact that actually happens in a network.

Measure Twice

Sizing & dieline.

Every Vinyl Record Mailers is cut to a dieline built around your product — not pulled off a shelf. Send us the length, width and height of the item (or the item itself) and we return a measured dieline, free, before you commit to anything.

How to measure
01
Measure the product

Length, width and height of the item itself, at its widest points — not the box you happen to use today.

02
Add clearance

Allow 2–4 mm on each axis for a snug fit, and more if you are adding foam, a pillow insert or tissue.

03
Give us the order

We quote as Length × Width × Height. Tell us whether you are working in millimetres or inches and we match it.

✦ Not sure of your size? Send us the product — we measure it and build the dieline.

What It Costs

Pricing & minimums.

Vinyl Record Mailers is priced per specification rather than from a fixed list — the same box in two different finishes can land at very different numbers. Below is what actually moves the price, so you can shape the spec before you request a quote.

What moves the price
Quantity

The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.

Material and thickness

Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.

Finishing

Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.

Print coverage

Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.

Inserts and hardware

Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.

Timeline

Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.

— Frequently Asked Questions —

Questions, answered.

Everything you need to know about Vinyl Record Mailers.

Corner crushing and ring wear are the two primary failure modes. Corner crushing occurs when the package isn't rigid enough to resist compressive forces during transit — rigid corrugated construction with adequate wall depth prevents this. Ring wear (circular impressions from the record sleeve inside the jacket) occurs when records move inside their sleeves during shipping — tight-fitting record mailers that hold the album without movement prevent this. The mailer should fit the record snugly with no room for movement.
Double-wall corrugated construction provides the best protection for LP records against carrier handling pressures. The rigid mailer should fit the 12.25-inch square LP jacket with approximately 3mm clearance on each side — enough to insert and remove without force, not enough for significant movement. Cardboard stays or corner protectors can be added for additional corner protection on high-value records.
Custom printing on the mailer exterior communicates label identity at every postal touchpoint — the label brand is visible to the customer at the mailbox, to postal workers, and to anyone who sees the package in transit. For labels with strong visual identities, a fully branded custom mailer creates brand presence well beyond the record purchase itself. Simple label marks with website and brand color on a plain corrugated exterior is the accessible entry point; full-color custom print is the premium option.
