We size the aperture to your actual bottle, so it clears the cap and then grips the neck below it. Too loose and the necker slides down or falls off, too tight and it tears as staff push it on.

Neckers go on by hand at speed, often thousands in a shift, so a hole that fights the bottle costs real labour time. Send us a bottle, or its neck and cap measurements, and we'll cut the die to suit.

Yes, with a keyhole or slotted aperture that flexes open over the closure and closes back around the neck. A plain round hole big enough for a wide stopper would be too loose to stay put lower down.

Get the geometry wrong and the cards end up on the shop floor. We'd always fit a sample onto the real bottle, closure in place, before the run is printed.

Our standard is around 300gsm card, stiff enough to handle and still flexible enough to go over the neck. Much thinner card creases on the shelf, and much heavier board fights the aperture.

Laminated stock stands up better to being handled by shoppers. Kraft card suits craft drinks brands, and recycled grades make sense for a promotion that only runs for a few weeks.

Yes, and we'd recommend it, because shoppers see both faces as the bottle sits on the shelf. One side usually carries the headline, such as an award, an offer or a serve suggestion, and the reverse carries the detail.

Recipes and serve ideas are the format's best use, and a QR code can link to a longer campaign page. A small foil accent on a medal or logo adds a premium touch for very little extra cost.

The common sizes are 3 by 4 inches and 4 by 5 inches, die-cut with the neck aperture near the top. Size is measured across the flat card before it goes onto the bottle.

Wine and spirits bottles with long necks take the larger card comfortably. Short-necked bottles often need the smaller one so it doesn't rest on the shoulder label. The outline can also be die-cut to follow a logo or medal shape.

A necker run starts at 500 pieces. Promotions often need far more, and we print up to 100,000 in one order for a wide rollout.

Each bottle takes one necker, so match the quantity to the number of bottles you plan to tag. Add a small overage for any that get damaged going on.

Neckers take 7 to 10 business days to produce, or 5 to 7 business days with rush. That makes them a quick way to put a new offer or award onto a bottle already on the shelf, with no relabelling.

Fitting samples take 5 to 7 business days, and we won't skip that step. The sample fee is credited back when you order, and we deliver anywhere in the USA.

Laminated card holds up well in cold cabinets and against the condensation that forms on a chilled bottle. Bare card softens faster when it stays damp, so we'd laminate any necker headed for a fridge or cooler.

They aren't waterproof, though. We don't offer a waterproof film for this format, so a necker left sitting in ice water all evening will eventually go limp.
