Heavily fried and oily items call for a silicone-coated grade or a laminated liner, while a refined sheet handles lighter, drier food. The oil load decides the grade, so tell us what the sheet will sit under.

Refined papers resist grease through how tightly the fibre is packed, which suits sandwiches and baked goods. For a basket of fries held under a heat lamp, we'd go to silicone-coated or laminated stock.

Wrap a real menu item and leave it for as long as it actually waits before being eaten. A sheet that looks clean after five minutes can show oil spots at twenty, and a quick check at the counter won't catch that.

Run the test with the sample in the basket or box you serve in, printed side facing out. Look at the printed face as well as the back, because that's the side your customer sees.

Yes, recycled food-grade paper is available where the grade is certified for food contact. Not every recycled sheet qualifies, so we only offer the ones that carry that certification.
