Joint Boxes
Small cylinders that crush, which makes the carton a crush protection problem before anything else.
Pre-rolls are fragile and lose aroma quickly. The box holds each one in a channel and keeps an airtight environment around them.

Every detail. Intentional.
Crush protection first
The contents deform easily.
Channels hold each one
No movement, no contact.
Sealed against aroma loss
Terpenes escape any gap.
Counts of 5 and 10
The pack standards.
Certified caps where mandated
State rules apply.
Batch window kept clear
For inline coding.

Built like architecture.
Every order of Joint Boxes is an engineered build, measured, dieline-cut and hand-wrapped to spec. Below is the standard build sheet.

Sizing & dieline.
We cut Joint Boxes to a dieline built around your product instead of pulling a stock size off the shelf. Send us the length, width and height of the item (or the item itself) and we return a measured dieline, free, before you commit to anything.
Length, width and height of the item itself, at its widest points. Measure the product, not the box you happen to use today.
Allow 2–4 mm on each axis for a snug fit, and more if you are adding foam, a pillow insert or tissue.
We quote as Length × Width × Height. Tell us whether you are working in millimetres or inches and we match it.
✦ Not sure of your size? Send us the product and we measure it and build the dieline.
Pricing & minimums.
We price Joint Boxes per specification rather than from a fixed list, because the same build in two different finishes can land at very different numbers. Below is what actually moves the price, so you can shape the spec before you request a quote.
The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.
Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.
Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.
Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.
Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.
Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.

Questions, answered.
Everything you need to know about Joint Boxes.
Each pre-roll sits in its own channel in a custom insert, so it can't roll, touch the next one or take pressure from the lid. The outer is paperboard or rigid board stiff enough not to cave in a bag or pocket.
We'd settle crush protection before any print decision, because a bent pre-roll is the first thing a customer notices when the box opens. For the most fragile formats, a rigid slide tray adds more protection.
A cone is wider at one end, so a straight channel lets it slide and knock its thin tip against the box wall. We cut tapered channels and load the cones tips-down, so each one is held along its whole length.
In multi-packs, alternating the cones head to tail can save width. Send us a few of your cones, or their length and both end diameters, and we'll cut the insert to match.
We make flip-top packs, slide trays with a sleeve, and single sleeves for one pre-roll. The flip-top borrows its structure from the cigarette pack and suits multi-packs carried around during the day. Slide trays feel more like a presentation box.
Where your market calls for child-resistant packaging, we can build the box with certified CR hardware. Confirm the requirement for your state and we'll spec the closure to match.
A sealed inner layer and a close-fitting closure hold the aroma in, since terpenes escape through any gap. Board on its own breathes, so we add a sealed liner or overwrap for products that sit on a shelf for a while.
Humidity packs can go in the box for longer storage. Odour-neutral board also helps, so the pack doesn't add a smell of its own.
The box prints in CMYK plus Pantone and can take foil stamping, embossing, spot UV or a soft-touch coat. Brands pick anything from a clean wellness look to a design that borrows from classic tobacco packs.
The panel has room for the state symbol, batch details and any other marks your market requires. We keep a clear window for inline batch coding so the code prints straight onto bare board.
Our common multi-pack is about 3 × 1 × 4.5 in, holding a row of standard pre-rolls in individual channels. Count, length and diameter all change it, so we size every box from the pre-roll itself.
Singles go in narrow sleeves. Twos and fives are the counts we're asked for most, and tens need either a deeper box or two rows. Tell us the count and we'll draw the dieline.
Joint boxes start at a 500-piece order. A common approach is one printed box across several strains, with a strain sticker or label added for each batch.
We quote every run from the minimum through to 100,000 units, and we price child-resistant closures and inserts together with the box.
Production runs 7 to 10 business days from the approved proof. Rush orders move through in 5 to 7 business days, which helps when a new product has a set launch.
Get a sample first, especially for cone inserts and child-resistant closures. It takes 5 to 7 business days, and the cost is credited once you order the full run. We ship anywhere in the USA.
