Cardboard Gable Boxes
The white-board version, chosen where brand colour has to reproduce accurately.
Structurally identical to its kraft sibling; what changes is the substrate's print behaviour. Coated white supports photography, pastels and precise brand colours that brown board cannot hold.

Every detail. Intentional.
Accurate colour and photography
The reason to choose it over kraft.
Pastels exist on white
Light tones are impossible on brown.
Handling marks show
White reveals what kraft absorbs invisibly.

Reinforcement and base spec are unchanged.

Built like architecture.
Every order of Cardboard Gable Boxes is an engineered build, measured, dieline-cut and hand-wrapped to spec. Below is the standard build sheet.

Sizing & dieline.
We cut Cardboard Gable Boxes to a dieline built around your product instead of pulling a stock size off the shelf. Send us the length, width and height of the item (or the item itself) and we return a measured dieline, free, before you commit to anything.
Length, width and height of the item itself, at its widest points. Measure the product, not the box you happen to use today.
Allow 2–4 mm on each axis for a snug fit, and more if you are adding foam, a pillow insert or tissue.
We quote as Length × Width × Height. Tell us whether you are working in millimetres or inches and we match it.
✦ Not sure of your size? Send us the product and we measure it and build the dieline.
Pricing & minimums.
We price Cardboard Gable Boxes per specification rather than from a fixed list, because the same build in two different finishes can land at very different numbers. Below is what actually moves the price, so you can shape the spec before you request a quote.
The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.
Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.
Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.
Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.
Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.
Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.

Questions, answered.
Everything you need to know about Cardboard Gable Boxes.
The folds, handle and base are the same, and the difference is the white coated board it is printed on. That smooth white surface reproduces brand colours, photographs and pale pastels that brown kraft cannot hold.
Because the structure matches, artwork can move between the two versions on the same dieline. Most customers pick this one when a colour has to match the rest of their packaging exactly.
Yes, changing the board surface does nothing for handle strength, so the reinforced die stays. Handle tear-out is still the main risk once the box is full, and the base still needs to suit the weight going in.
We offer auto-bottom bases on this style for heavier contents. Whatever you pick, load a sample to its real filled weight and carry it by the handle before approving the run.
They show more than on kraft, because brown board hides marks in its own colour and white board does not. A box that passes through several hands at a counter or an event will pick some up.
Designs with a darker flood colour or a busy pattern disguise handling better than a large plain white panel. Adding a coating over the print is the other way to deal with it.
Gloss laminate protects best, and aqueous coating is the compromise when recycling matters. Laminate gives a wipeable surface that stands up to food service, but the plastic film makes the box harder to put in the paper stream.
Aqueous coating adds real scuff protection and keeps the box recyclable. For gift boxes we also run a matte premium finish, which reads softer on a shelf than gloss.
Quote us the inside length, width and height, with a note on whether the height runs to the top of the handle. Our common sizes are 6 x 3.5 x 7 inches and 10 x 5 x 9 inches.
If your artwork already exists for one of those, we can check it against our dieline before you commit. Custom sizes are cut to order, and the proof marks every fold so you can see where the print wraps.
We start at 500 printed boxes. From there, a single order can go as high as 100,000, which covers anything from one café's opening run to a full catering season.
Artwork help and dieline setup are free of charge, and we deliver to any state in the country.
Plan on 7 to 10 business days for production, or 5 to 7 on a rush. Before that, a printed sample can be with you in 5 to 7 business days, and the sample charge is taken off the production order.
With white board, the sample is where you judge colour. Check it in daylight and under your shop lighting, because pastels in particular shift between screen and board.
Yes, we stock recycled white grades with post-consumer waste content. The white is slightly warmer than virgin coated board, which most people only notice side by side.
If exact colour is the reason you chose white, send us your brand swatch and we'll proof on the recycled grade so you can see how far it moves. Paired with aqueous coating instead of laminate, the finished box stays in the paper recycling stream.
