Popular Custom Gable Boxes
our brands keep reordering.
Hand-picked from our custom gable boxes range — 4 styles, each built for a different job.

Auto-lock Bottom Gable Boxes
The base nobody worries about until it opens — solved before the handle is.

Gable Boxes With Window
An aperture in a box that already has one — so placement matters more than usual.

Kraft Gable Boxes
A handle die-cut from the box's own board — the format built to be carried away.

Cardboard Gable Boxes
The white-board version, chosen where brand colour has to reproduce accurately.
The box is the building.
Inserts are everything else.
Furniture. Bodyguards. Stage crew. The unseen architecture that makes your product feel like it lives somewhere — not like it was just dropped in a box.

Corrugated Inserts
“Strong inserts for”
For every product that needs a handle.
Bakery & Patisserie Packaging
Auto-bottom SBS gable boxes with PET window for cupcakes, macarons, and artisan pastry. Food-safe, structurally tested for product weight, and print-ready for full-colour brand artwork.
The box that carries itself.
Custom gable boxes — the handle-top format that's built for bakeries, food service, and retail gifting.
Why gable boxes are the retail carry standard.
The built-in handle turns every purchase into a branded carry.
No bag required
A gable box is self-contained — the handle is integral to the box structure, not an add-on. The customer leaves with a branded package in hand, no plastic bag, no paper carrier. For food service and gifting, this functional simplicity is the entire value proposition.
The bakery and food service default
Walk into any US artisan bakery, cupcake shop, or catering operation and gable boxes are the standard. The flat-pack format stores efficiently in a kitchen, erects in seconds, and the auto-bottom locks secure. It's a format optimised for high-volume, high-tempo food service environments.
Retail gifting applications
Beyond food, gable boxes have become a gifting standard — seasonal retail, bath and body, toy packaging, and event favours. The silhouette is recognisably festive, and the print area on the two main panels and gable top is generous for brand storytelling.
Food-safe, print-ready, structurally sound.
SBS board is the industry standard. Kraft and coated for different signals.
SBS board (solid bleached sulphate)
The default for food-contact gable boxes. Bright white surface with excellent CMYK print quality. Food-safe coating on the interior. Available in 14pt–24pt depending on the product weight the box needs to carry — a cupcake box needs different specs than a wine bottle gift box.
Natural kraft
Unbleached kraft for the artisan, organic, and farmers-market signal. Prints well in one to four spot colours. The material itself communicates values — natural, local, unprocessed. For food brands with a sustainability or small-batch positioning, kraft is the automatic choice.
Coated art board
High-gloss or matt laminated surface for non-food retail gable boxes — gifting, bath and body, retail seasonal. Full-bleed CMYK with spot UV, hot foil, or soft-touch lamination available. The finish that turns a functional carry box into a premium gift package.
Window patches, auto-bottom, custom sizes.
Every structural detail engineered for your application.
Window patch
PET window on the front or top panel. For bakery, confection, and food retail — the product visible through the window sells itself. For gifting, the window reveals the product without opening the box. Recyclable PET window film available.
Auto-bottom closure
The base locks automatically when the box is erected — no tape, no glue, no folding required at point of service. Critical for high-volume bakery and food service environments where assembly speed matters as much as presentation.
Size range
Standard cupcake size (4"×4"×7") to large catering carry (12"×6"×11"). Custom die-cut for non-standard product dimensions. Gable height, base dimensions, and handle width all tunable to the product inside.
Food, gifting, and everything that needs a handle.
The format that travels.
Bakery & patisserie
The natural home of the gable box. Cupcakes, macarons, cookies, cake slices — each needs a window to show the product, a handle to carry it safely, and a print area to communicate the brand. Auto-bottom for bakery-speed assembly.
Food service & catering
Picnic sets, meal kit packaging, wedding favour food boxes, corporate lunch carry. The gable format handles meal-ready food safely and presents it professionally — from farm-to-table events to office lunch programmes.
Retail seasonal & gifting
Christmas, Valentine's, Halloween, Mother's Day — the gable silhouette is culturally associated with seasonal gifting. Festive full-bleed print with hot foil and ribbon handle upgrade turns a structural box into a premium gift.
Promotional & event
Brand activation giveaway boxes, tradeshow gift carriers, welcome kit packaging. Short-run quantities with personalisation options — ideal for events where every attendee leaves with a branded takeaway.

Questions, answered.
A carton whose peaked top folds into an integral handle, cut from the box's own blank with no separate hardware.
It is the format of takeout meals, party favours and gift bundles — anywhere something needs carrying away by hand without a bag. The peaked roof shape gives it the name, and the handle aperture is die-cut through the folded peak.
18pt board handles light contents; anything approaching two pounds needs 24pt and a reinforced handle.
The failure mode is handle tear-out, and it is always discovered when the box is full. A wider handle aperture spreads load better than a narrow one, and the fold forming the peak should double the material at the handle's root. The only meaningful test is lifting a filled box by its handle and walking with it.
Because the base fails at least as often as the handle, and a tucked bottom under load releases at the worst moment.
An auto-lock bottom has pre-glued flaps that fold and lock as the box is erected, spreading weight across the whole base panel. Specifying a strong handle over a weak base simply relocates the failure — for anything with real contents, both are needed together.
Only in food-contact certified grades, which are widely available since takeout is the format's largest use.
Grease resistance matters for fried or buttered contents, and the barrier method should be PFAS-free given state restrictions. For hot food, ventilation is worth considering — a sealed gable box full of warm food produces the same condensation problem as any closed container.
Yes, with a structural caution: the handle is already a large aperture and the load path runs up the side panels to it.
Windows should sit low on the face, well clear of that path, with a generous frame retained. For bakery contents an open aperture often works better than film, since it avoids the condensation that fogs a sealed window over warm items.
Common formats run around 6 × 3.5 × 7 inches and 8 × 4 × 8 inches, with larger sizes for catering and gift bundles.
The proportion is characteristic — taller than wide, because the peak needs height to form a comfortable handle. Sizing to contents matters as usual, but the handle geometry sets a practical minimum height below which the format stops working.
Not on their own — the handle aperture makes them unsuitable as a shipper.
They are hand-carry and gift formats. For shipping, a gable box goes inside a corrugated outer, which also protects the handle from being crushed or torn in a parcel network. Using one as a shipper reliably produces damaged handles and opened tops.
500 units, with 15–20 business days production.
Stock kraft and white gable boxes are available in smaller quantities, and stamping or stickering them is the common low-commitment route for cafés and small caterers before moving to printed stock.
