The base does, and we choose between a lock bottom and an auto-bottom based on the filled weight. An auto-bottom spreads a mixed load evenly and sets up in one motion, which helps when the box holds several bottles or jars.

The handle still needs attention, but it only lifts what the base is built to support. We'd rather over-spec the bottom than see a gift set drop through it.

We reinforce the handle root, the point where tear-out starts, and set the reinforcement to the filled weight of the box. Board weight runs 18 to 24pt depending on the load.

For heavier sampler sets we use reinforced handle dies with a wider radius at the cut-out, which spreads the stress across more board. A kraft grade adds tear strength as well.

They will without dividers, because a gable box has a lot of open volume above and around the contents. We fit divider inserts that give each bottle or jar its own cell, so glass never touches glass.

An insert in a contrasting colour also helps the reveal when someone opens a gift set. Tell us the item mix and we'll lay out the cells around it.

Full exterior CMYK print covers every panel, including the peak, which matters because this box gets carried where people can see it. Natural kraft and white coated board are the two base looks.

We'd put the brand on the wide faces and keep the compliance panel on a side, away from the handle. A ribbon wrap around the handle is an easy gift-tier touch for holiday sets.

Common sizes are about 6 × 3.5 × 7 in and 8 × 4 × 8 in, measured length by width by height. We can make any size in between, or larger, as a custom die, and we confirm on the proof whether the height figure includes the handle.

Gable boxes have a 500-unit minimum. Larger holiday or sampling programmes can go to 100,000.

Many brands use a gable for a seasonal gift set, and a run of 500 matches that kind of limited release without leftover stock once the season ends.

The production window is 7 to 10 business days after proof approval. A rush slot runs 5 to 7 business days for gift sets tied to a holiday.

Samples take 5 to 7 business days, and we'd load one with the real bottles to test the handle before bulk. Whatever you spend on the sample is credited against the production order.

Both are available: the board is recyclable, and there's a compostable option if you want the box to break down after use. Food-grade kraft reads as natural gift packaging and recycles with other paper.

PE-coated board and grease-proof liners are there if the set includes edibles, though a PE coating changes how the box is recycled, so we'd only add it when the contents need it.
