Overview

Luxury Chocolate Packaging

Rigid board and a fitted tray — the construction that lets a chocolatier charge chocolatier prices.

At this tier the box is bought as part of the gift. Wrapped chipboard, a moulded or die-cut tray and a lid map are what separate it from a carton.

Measure Twice

Sizing & dieline.

Every Luxury Chocolate Packaging is cut to a dieline built around your product — not pulled off a shelf. Send us the length, width and height of the item (or the item itself) and we return a measured dieline, free, before you commit to anything.

How to measure
01
Measure the product

Length, width and height of the item itself, at its widest points — not the box you happen to use today.

02
Add clearance

Allow 2–4 mm on each axis for a snug fit, and more if you are adding foam, a pillow insert or tissue.

03
Give us the order

We quote as Length × Width × Height. Tell us whether you are working in millimetres or inches and we match it.

✦ Not sure of your size? Send us the product — we measure it and build the dieline.

What It Costs

What moves the price
Quantity

The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.

Material and thickness

Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.

Finishing

Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.

Print coverage

Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.

Inserts and hardware

Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.

Timeline

Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.

— Frequently Asked Questions —

Questions, answered.

Everything you need to know about Luxury Chocolate Packaging.

It creates a purchase occasion that justifies the price — the box communicates 'this is worth it' before a single piece of chocolate is tasted. In a market where customers can buy a mass chocolate bar for $1.50, the premium chocolate brand is selling a different product: a sensory experience, a craft story, a gift occasion, a moment of personal indulgence. Premium packaging is part of that product, not a container for it.
Matte lamination as the base communicates considered luxury. Hot foil stamping in gold, copper, or metallic chocolate brown creates the premium accent. Embossed brand marks add tactile dimension. Spot UV gloss over matte creates graphic texture. For single-origin or limited-edition chocolate, special material wraps — natural fiber papers, textured stocks — create a material signature that positions each release as distinct. At this price point, finish work does significant selling work.
Origin information elevated to a primary design element — not footnoted but featured — communicates terroir and craft simultaneously. Flavor notes presented through evocative rather than technical language (tasting note language, not ingredient listing) creates anticipation. Bean-to-bar provenance information, the cacao farmer's story, or the geographic origin illustrated through design creates the kind of narrative context that supports $30+ per bar pricing.
