Sizing & dieline.
We cut Mushroom Chocolate Bar Packaging to a dieline built around your product instead of pulling a stock size off the shelf. Send us the length, width and height of the item (or the item itself) and we return a measured dieline, free, before you commit to anything.
Length, width and height of the item itself, at its widest points. Measure the product, not the box you happen to use today.
Allow 2–4 mm on each axis for a snug fit, and more if you are adding foam, a pillow insert or tissue.
We quote as Length × Width × Height. Tell us whether you are working in millimetres or inches and we match it.
✦ Not sure of your size? Send us the product and we measure it and build the dieline.
Pricing & minimums.
We price Mushroom Chocolate Bar Packaging per specification rather than from a fixed list, because the same build in two different finishes can land at very different numbers. Below is what actually moves the price, so you can shape the spec before you request a quote.
The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.
Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.
Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.
Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.
Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.
Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.

Questions, answered.
Everything you need to know about Mushroom Chocolate Bar Packaging.
The bar goes into a foil inner wrap first, then into a printed outer carton. The foil holds out moisture and odour, and the carton carries the branding and the information panel.
Splitting the two jobs means the carton board never touches the chocolate. Cocoa butter would mark bare board, so the liner is part of the spec from the start.
Yes, we lay out a segment grid on the pack that matches the scoring on your mould. Each segment can carry the figure you supply, printed in the position that corresponds to the square it describes.
Send the mould drawing or a finished bar and we'll set the grid from it. People snap the bar along the score inside its wrap, so we spec a foil that survives that without splitting.
Yes, the outer carton is the labelling surface, and we reserve space for the facts panel, batch number and date code. This format carries more required information than an ordinary chocolate bar, so the panel is planned before the artwork.
Food or supplement labelling is your call to make. Our job is making sure the panel has room for the required marks, printed legibly at the size they need.
Most brands in this space go matte and botanical, with kraft board or a soft-touch finish and very little gloss. A species and sourcing panel on the back gives buyers the detail they check, such as fruiting body or mycelium and the extraction ratio.
Hot foil or embossing on the logo adds a premium cue without breaking that quiet register. We print CMYK plus PMS on SBS, kraft or specialty stock.
The common size is about 6 × 3 × 0.5 in, which suits most segmented bar moulds. We measure the wrapped bar, not the bare one, and size the carton to hold it without rattle.
A tuck-end carton is the usual build, and we can make it to any custom size your mould needs. Send the dimensions of the foil-wrapped bar and we'll draw the dieline to match.
Cartons for this bar start at 500 units. That can be one flavour or one species per design, each printed with its own panel.
If your range has several SKUs with different segment figures, each version is a separate design at 500. Mushroom bar carton runs can go up to 100,000.
Once you approve the proof, production takes 7 to 10 business days, or 5 to 7 on a rush basis. Samples take 5 to 7 business days, so you can check the grid lines up with a real bar before bulk printing.
The carton sample fee is credited against the bulk order. Help with the dieline and the panel layout is free, and we ship to any US address.
The outer carton can be recyclable board, and kraft and recycled stocks suit the wellness look. The foil inner wrap is a separate piece, so the carton goes in paper recycling once the bar is out.
We would skip gloss lamination on the carton if recyclability is a selling point. An unlaminated kraft carton stays paper-only and still prints the panel clearly.
