Straight Tuck End Boxes
Both flaps tuck the same way, so the front panel stays completely uninterrupted.
A glued side seam with top and bottom flaps folding toward the back. No slot crosses the face, which is why front-led categories like cosmetics and pharmaceuticals default to it.

Every detail. Intentional.
A clean front plane
No slot, score or flap edge across the artwork.
Glue seam hidden at the rear
Placed on a back edge so it never shows.
Slightly softer under torsion
The trade for that uninterrupted face.
Ask the filling line
High-speed erectors often prefer reverse tuck.
Locks where it is reclosed
Slit or friction locks on the tuck flap.
14–24pt by contents
Caliper follows weight and panel span.

Sizing & dieline.
We cut Straight Tuck End Boxes to a dieline built around your product instead of pulling a stock size off the shelf. Send us the length, width and height of the item (or the item itself) and we return a measured dieline, free, before you commit to anything.
Length, width and height of the item itself, at its widest points. Measure the product, not the box you happen to use today.
Allow 2–4 mm on each axis for a snug fit, and more if you are adding foam, a pillow insert or tissue.
We quote as Length × Width × Height. Tell us whether you are working in millimetres or inches and we match it.
✦ Not sure of your size? Send us the product and we measure it and build the dieline.
Pricing & minimums.
We price Straight Tuck End Boxes per specification rather than from a fixed list, because the same build in two different finishes can land at very different numbers. Below is what actually moves the price, so you can shape the spec before you request a quote.
The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.
Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.
Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.
Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.
Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.
Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.

Questions, answered.
Everything you need to know about Straight Tuck End Boxes.
Both flaps fold toward the back, so nothing crosses the front panel. There's no slot, score or flap edge running through the artwork, and the glue seam sits on a rear edge where it doesn't show. That uninterrupted face is the whole case for the format.
Cosmetics, fragrance, pharmaceutical and confectionery brands default to it for that reason.
It is slightly softer under twisting, and that's the trade for the clean front. For most retail cartons you won't notice. The dust flaps keep the walls square, and the right caliper does the rest.
For heavier items, roughly a pound and up, we'd move you to our tuck top auto-bottom carton, which keeps a tucking lid and puts a glued base underneath.
It may, but check with the filler first. Many high-speed erectors are set up for reverse tuck, which squares up more easily from flat, and a straight tuck can jam on them. Hand-packed and slower lines usually run either style without trouble.
Ask your co-packer which tuck style their erector expects before the artwork is locked. If they need reverse tuck, we'll rework the layout so the front still reads well.
Spot UV over matte lamination is the favourite for cosmetics and fragrance. A flat matte base against a raised gloss logo gives contrast you can see and feel on the shelf. Soft-touch, hot foil and deboss are all on the menu too.
Inside print is worth considering. A brand colour or a short message on the inner panels shows the moment the tuck is opened.
Allow about 2 to 3mm on each dimension for a snug fit, and more if tissue or a liner goes inside. Too much room makes the carton feel cheap and lets the product rattle. Too little and the tuck won't close cleanly.
Measure the product itself, not a drawing of it, and give us the inside length, width and depth. We'll confirm the fit on a sample before the run.
Most of these run on 14 to 24pt SBS, heavier as the panels get wider or the product gets heavier. Folding boxboard gives bulk and stiffness at a lower weight, kraft grades give a natural finish, and metallised board is there for prestige lines. Recycled board with post-consumer content is available on request.
For a carton that gets reclosed often, we add slit or friction locks to the tuck flaps so the lid stays shut.
We print straight tuck cartons from 500 pieces upward. A single SKU at the minimum is common for a launch or a sample set. Subscription brands also use them as inserts, packing each item in its own branded carton inside the mailer.
Once a line takes off, runs of the same carton go as high as 100,000.
Straight tuck cartons are produced in 7 to 10 business days from approval. Rush work is 5 to 7 business days.
Samples are made in 5 to 7 business days, and we'd ask you to look at the front panel of one under shop lighting, since that clean face is why you chose the style. We credit the sample fee toward the production order.
