A die-cut arc through the curve — showing the contents without opening the fold.
The box is the building.

Jewellery & Accessories Packaging
Ring, earring, and bracelet pillow boxes with soft-touch lamination, ribbon pull, and custom interior colour. The format that matches the craftsmanship of what's inside.
The curve that signals care.
Custom pillow boxes — the elegant curved silhouette that turns small product packaging into a gifting moment.
Why the pillow box became the jewellery standard.
The curved form signals softness, care, and ceremony without a single word.
A silhouette with meaning
The pillow box shape — a tube with curved ends — reads as gentle, considered, gift-ready. It originated in jewellery packaging and has stayed there because the curve communicates something the rectangle cannot: that the contents are precious, delicate, worth the ceremony.
No tape, no glue, no assembly
The pillow box is a single sheet of board that folds into its shape and tucks closed at each curved end. No adhesive, no tools, no training. It erects in seconds — a critical advantage for jewellery retailers, gift shops, and event planners who need to package dozens of items per hour.
The gifting format
Across the US gifting market, pillow boxes are the default format for small, precious items. Rings, earrings, bracelets, perfume samples, chocolates, bath bombs, and personalised keepsakes — the pillow box makes any product feel like it was wrapped with intention.
Coated art board, kraft, or textured stock.
The material tells the brand story before it's opened.
Coated art board
Bright white 350gsm with high-gloss or matt lamination. The substrate for full-colour CMYK print — prints photography, pattern, and complex illustration without colour shift. Spot UV detail on a matt background is the most-requested pillow box finish in the jewellery and cosmetics categories.
Natural and recycled kraft
Brown or white kraft gives an artisan, sustainable, hand-crafted positioning. Prints well in one to four spot colours. For small-batch jewellery makers, organic beauty brands, and handmade gift businesses — the material aligns the packaging with the product's story.
Textured and specialty stocks
Linen, laid, hammered, and pearlescent boards give a tactile luxury feel without additional lamination. These stocks print with slight texture showing through the ink — a visual depth that flat art paper cannot achieve. Used by premium jewellery, wedding, and luxury gifting brands.
Window, ribbon, custom size — all achievable.
Every detail of the pillow box is customisable.
Size range
From 2"×1.5" (ring pillow box) to 12"×5" (scarf or multiple-piece jewellery sets). Custom intermediate sizes for products that don't conform to standard jewellery dimensions — bath bombs, artisan soap, chocolate bars, stationery gifts.
Window and decoration
Die-cut oval or rectangular window with PET film for product preview. Ribbon pull through a die-cut slot for opening ceremony. Bow loop attachment points on the curved ends. Tissue paper insert. Each detail adds a layer to the unboxing ritual.
Print coverage
360° exterior print — the curved surface receives full-bleed CMYK across its full length. Hot foil logo stamp, embossed brand mark, spot UV pattern on matt base. The interior can be printed in a contrast colour — the inside of the pillow box is seen immediately on opening.
Small products, big moments.
Every category that packages something precious.
Jewellery & accessories
The original home of the pillow box. Ring boxes, earring boxes, bracelet carry, necklace presentation. Custom size for each SKU. Soft-touch exterior, ribbon pull closure, tissue insert. The format that matches the value of what's inside.
Cosmetics & beauty
Fragrance samples, lipstick single packs, mascara gift sets, bath bomb packaging. The pillow format communicates the same premium positioning as the product itself — at a fraction of the cost of a full rigid box.
Confection & gifting
Artisan chocolate bars, truffle pairs, macarons, and single-serve gifting. The pillow box provides food-safe packaging with the visual appeal of gift wrapping — no additional decoration required.
Wedding & events
Favour boxes for weddings, baby showers, corporate events, and seasonal gifting. Personalised print for name, date, or message. Short-run minimums make small-event quantities accessible without per-unit price penalty.
“The packaging blew our customers away. Unboxing videos went viral overnight. PackTist nailed every single detail.”
Questions, answered.
A die-cut box whose curved end flaps fold in to create a soft, rounded silhouette that bulges gently in the middle like a cushion.
It ships completely flat and assumes its shape in a single fold, with the flaps interlocking without glue or tape. It is one of the few packaging formats whose entire appeal is its outline rather than its construction.
Flat and semi-flat contents — jewellery, scarves, gift cards, cosmetics samples, confectionery and small accessories.
The internal volume is shallow and curved, which defeats anything bulky or rigid with square corners. Overfilling forces the curved ends open and the shape collapses, which is the format's characteristic failure and immediately visible. Check with a filled sample before committing.
Standard ones hold by friction only and can shake open. Self-lock versions add interlocking tabs to the curved ends.
For anything travelling in a mailer among other items, or handled repeatedly on a shelf, the self-lock version is worth the marginal cost — it changes the box from one that can be shaken open to one that stays shut, at almost no material difference.
18pt to 24pt, erring higher — the curve needs board with enough body to hold its shape.
Too light and the pillow profile sags, which loses the only thing the format was chosen for. Recycled kraft grades are slightly less stiff than virgin, so stepping up a caliper is worth doing there. Larger formats and windowed versions both need more body again.
Yes, but with more structural caution than on rectangular boxes.
A pillow box holds its shape through the tension of its curved end scores and the stiffness of its face panels, and cutting a large aperture removes exactly the material maintaining that tension. Keep windows modest with a solid frame all round, and check a filled sample for sag.
The same curved-end construction turned vertical, with a flat base panel so it stands on a shelf.
It solves the horizontal format's retail problem — a flat pillow box has to lie down or be propped, which wastes shelf space. The trade-off is stability: a tall narrow box with a soft curved top tips more readily, so the base footprint needs to be wide enough and the height kept proportionate.
Very — the shape reads as soft and gift-like before anything is printed on it.
Premium finishing amplifies a quality the format already has. Foil sits beautifully on the curved face, and spot UV animates as the box moves, because the varying angle catches light differently. A luxury pillow box costs a fraction of a rigid gift box and delivers a considerable share of the perceived quality.
500 units for custom printed pillow boxes, with 15–20 business days production.
Stock sizes in kraft, white and coloured board are available in much smaller quantities, which is how most event and favour buyers purchase them — stock boxes with printed tags, stickers or ribbon rather than custom printing.
