Sizing & dieline.
We cut Custom Cardboard Display Stands to a dieline built around your product instead of pulling a stock size off the shelf. Send us the length, width and height of the item (or the item itself) and we return a measured dieline, free, before you commit to anything.
Length, width and height of the item itself, at its widest points. Measure the product, not the box you happen to use today.
Allow 2–4 mm on each axis for a snug fit, and more if you are adding foam, a pillow insert or tissue.
We quote as Length × Width × Height. Tell us whether you are working in millimetres or inches and we match it.
✦ Not sure of your size? Send us the product and we measure it and build the dieline.
Pricing & minimums.
We price Custom Cardboard Display Stands per specification rather than from a fixed list, because the same build in two different finishes can land at very different numbers. Below is what actually moves the price, so you can shape the spec before you request a quote.
The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.
Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.
Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.
Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.
Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.
Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.

Everything you need to know about Custom Cardboard Display Stands.
The shelf brackets and laminated columns carry the load, and we design them before any artwork is placed. Weight has to travel from each shelf down into the walls and base, so the structure is B or BC flute with multi-wall columns where the load collects. A filled tower can carry 30 lb or more.
The printed E-flute faces are laminated over that structure. They carry the graphics and add little strength of their own.
A display that tips over gets pulled off the floor, so the base is built wide and stiff enough to take a shopping cart clipping it. We set the footprint to keep the centre of gravity low even when only the top shelves are still stocked.
The footprint also has to fit the retailer's planogram. Chains issue formal specs covering footprint and safety, and we build to the sheet you're given.
Floor towers, dump bins, sidekicks that hang off an endcap and full pallet displays are all standard builds. Towers suit a range of products on shelves, bins take loose or bagged stock, and sidekicks catch shoppers at the end of an aisle. Pallet displays are for club and mass stores that stock by forklift.
Die-cut silhouettes, such as a character or a product shape on the header, can be added to any of them.
Design the header to be read from about six feet down the aisle, and save the detail for shelf level. The header needs a big mark and very few words, while shelf-edge strips carry the messages shoppers read at arm's reach. We print the faces full-colour litho and laminate them to the corrugated.
Spot UV or foil accents are available on the header, though at aisle distance contrast and scale do more work than special finishes.
A common floor unit is about 16 × 12 × 60 in, while towers, pallet skirts and larger builds are sized to the retailer's space. We start from the footprint the store allows, then set shelf count and spacing from your product's height and the number of facings you need.
Send us the product dimensions and the planogram limits, and our structural team will draw the stand free of charge.
The minimum is 500 stands per order. That quantity lines up with a promotion running across a few hundred doors, with spares held back for damage and late additions. Every stand ships flat, so even the full run takes up far less warehouse space than built fixtures would.
Larger chain rollouts can go as high as 100,000 units.
We produce display stands in 7 to 10 business days from approved artwork. A rush order takes 5 to 7 business days when a promotion date is fixed. For a new structure, a built sample in 5 to 7 business days lets you load it with real product and test it before the run, with the sample fee credited to the order.
Leave time for the retailer's own sign-off of the sample if they ask to see one.
Store staff break it down flat and it goes out with the rest of the store's corrugated for recycling. Most displays run a campaign of 6 to 12 weeks, so we print breakdown instructions on the unit to make that quick.
Recycled fluting is a sensible choice for the structure, since a display built for one campaign doesn't need virgin board. The whole life of the stand is flat on arrival, standing through the promotion, then flat again for the bale.
