Clear PVC Display Boxes.

PETG gives the best clarity and is our standard, RPET adds recycled content, and PVC is the traditional low-cost sheet. All three fold into the same carton shapes. If the box will sit next to food, we use a PET-family sheet and leave PVC out.

RPET is the one to pick when recycled content is part of what you tell customers about your packaging.

Glue clouds clear sheet, and every smear would show on a transparent box. Tab locks and tuck flaps hold the carton together mechanically, so the panels stay clean where the customer looks. Tuck-end and auto-bottom styles both follow ordinary carton dielines.

An auto-bottom build pops open square, which speeds up packing when you're filling hundreds of boxes by hand.

The crease was pressed too hard, which stresses the sheet and whitens it along the fold. We use soft scores that let the plastic bend cleanly while staying clear. A cracked or cloudy fold is the quickest way a clear box starts to look cheap.

Sheet gauge runs from 0.2 to 0.5mm. That is enough to keep dust and handling marks off the product, though these boxes aren't designed to take hard knocks.

Print sits on the surface of the sheet, usually as a screen-printed border or fine offset detail, with white ink behind any colour that needs to be opaque. Without a white underlay, colours on clear sheet look faint. We'd frame the product with print rather than cover it, since visibility is the whole reason for choosing clear.

Hang tabs can be added for peg display.

Most sit between 2 × 2 × 2 in and 8 × 6 × 4 in, and we size each one to its contents. Send the inside measurements of the product or its insert platform. Larger boxes move up to a heavier gauge so the panels don't bow.

A board insert in a colour of your choice holds the product in position and gives it a backdrop inside the clear shell.

Clear display boxes are made in runs of 500 or more. The sheet is cut on a steel rule die much like a paper carton, and that setup needs a run of this size to pay its way. Above the minimum, pricing steps down with volume up to 100,000 units.

Production takes 7 to 10 business days once the proof has your approval. Rush brings it down to 5 to 7 business days. Clear boxes are worth sampling, since fold quality and the fit with the insert only show properly in the hand, and a sample takes 5 to 7 business days with the fee credited to the order.

Yes, clear sheet shows fingerprints and fine scuffs, so the boxes need careful handling. They ship flat and are filled and closed at your end, and gloved hands on the packing line keep the panels clean.

These boxes are designed to keep dust off a product on display. For shipping, pack them inside a corrugated case so the clear panels don't rub on each other.
