Sizing & dieline.
We cut Custom Favor Boxes to a dieline built around your product instead of pulling a stock size off the shelf. Send us the length, width and height of the item (or the item itself) and we return a measured dieline, free, before you commit to anything.
Length, width and height of the item itself, at its widest points. Measure the product, not the box you happen to use today.
Allow 2–4 mm on each axis for a snug fit, and more if you are adding foam, a pillow insert or tissue.
We quote as Length × Width × Height. Tell us whether you are working in millimetres or inches and we match it.
✦ Not sure of your size? Send us the product and we measure it and build the dieline.
Pricing & minimums.
We price Custom Favor Boxes per specification rather than from a fixed list, because the same build in two different finishes can land at very different numbers. Below is what actually moves the price, so you can shape the spec before you request a quote.
The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.
Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.
Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.
Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.
Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.
Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.

Questions, answered.
Everything you need to know about Custom Favor Boxes.
The main styles are the cube, the pillow box, the gable box with a carry handle and the fully clear PET box. Cubes are the classic almond and truffle format. Pillow boxes fold from one piece and close by pressing the curved ends in. Gable boxes stand on the table with a handle for ribbon, and clear boxes show the contents with no print at all.
All four come in custom colours and sizes.
We cut the dies so each box folds in around fifteen seconds instead of a minute and a half. When someone is putting together 300 favors the night before a wedding, that difference adds up to hours. Lock tabs and a pre-glued side seam do most of the work.
Ribbon slots can be die-cut into the lid, so a ribbon threads straight through and nobody has to tie a bow on every box.
Yes, and for anything oily we specify a coated board or an inner liner so grease doesn't mark the outside. Chocolate and nut fillings can leave spots on uncoated stock, which shows badly on pale wedding colours. Wrapped sweets and hard candy go straight into the standard board.
Tell us what's going in and we'll suggest the board and any liner at quote stage.
Names and the date can be printed on the lid, or on a tag or sticker seal if you'd rather keep one box design for several events. Direct print gives the cleanest result. Tags and stickers cost less on small runs and let you add a guest name to each box.
Hot foil on a small lid is where most of the budget goes. Pearlised and coloured stocks from our range can be matched to the table palette.
Most sit in the 2 to 3 inch cube class, which holds a few sugared almonds, a truffle or two or a small keepsake. A 2 x 2 x 2 inch cube is the standard, and 3 x 3 x 3 inches gives room for a larger treat. Pillow and gable minis are sized by their width and height.
Any other size can be made, and it's worth test-filling a sample before you order hundreds.
Favor boxes start at 500 pieces, enough for a large wedding with extras for any that get spoiled on the night. Big events and seasonal retail lines go much higher on the same tooling. If you need several colours, mention it when you ask for a quote.
We lay out the dieline and artwork for you free of charge and ship anywhere in the USA.
Production runs 7 to 10 business days after proof approval, so count back from the date with that, a sample and delivery in mind. A rush slot at 5 to 7 business days covers a late booking. Samples take 5 to 7 business days and are worth the wait to check the colour against your table linen.
The fee you pay for the sample is credited against the full order.
Kraft and paperboard favors are the recyclable choice, since they go into ordinary paper recycling once the ribbon is off. Clear PET boxes show the contents and look crisp on a table, but they're plastic and have to be recycled separately where facilities accept them.
For a rustic or outdoor wedding we'd go with kraft minis tied with twine, which suit the setting and keep everything in the paper stream.
