Floral Boxes
Wet stems, delicate heads and a courier make this the hardest gift box to build.
Flowers arrive damp and bruise on contact. The box has to resist moisture from inside, hold stems still, and keep blooms clear of every wall.

Every detail. Intentional.
Moisture from inside
Interiors coated against damp.
Blooms must not touch walls
Contact bruises immediately.
Stems held, heads free
A cradle, not a bed.
Hat-box round formats
The category's signature shape.
Foam or oasis bays

Built like architecture.
Every order of Floral Boxes is an engineered build, measured, dieline-cut and hand-wrapped to spec. Below is the standard build sheet.

Sizing & dieline.
We cut Floral Boxes to a dieline built around your product instead of pulling a stock size off the shelf. Send us the length, width and height of the item (or the item itself) and we return a measured dieline, free, before you commit to anything.
Length, width and height of the item itself, at its widest points. Measure the product, not the box you happen to use today.
Allow 2–4 mm on each axis for a snug fit, and more if you are adding foam, a pillow insert or tissue.
We quote as Length × Width × Height. Tell us whether you are working in millimetres or inches and we match it.
✦ Not sure of your size? Send us the product and we measure it and build the dieline.
Pricing & minimums.
We price Floral Boxes per specification rather than from a fixed list, because the same build in two different finishes can land at very different numbers. Below is what actually moves the price, so you can shape the spec before you request a quote.
The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.
Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.
Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.
Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.
Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.
Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.
✦ Quotes returned within 24 hours.
Questions, answered.
Everything you need to know about Floral Boxes.
The interior is laminated or fitted with a waterproof liner so moisture from wet foam and stems can't reach the board. Untreated chipboard softens and warps when damp, and the wrap paper lifts at the edges. For arrangements set in wet foam, the liner forms a sealed tray at the base.
We'd specify an inserted liner for anything that ships with water in it and lamination for arrangements that are only damp.
Stem anchor inserts grip the stems low down so the flower heads stay clear of every wall. Petals bruise on contact, and a loose arrangement tips to one side the moment a courier tilts the box. The insert acts as a cradle, and the heads sit free above it.
In long-stem boxes the insert holds the stems at one end and keeps the bunch from sliding toward the lid.
It is a lined rigid drum, with chipboard walls wrapped in paper and a lift-off lid. The box works as the vase, so the arrangement is set straight into lined foam inside it. Rigid construction keeps the drum round under the weight of wet foam.
Matte wraps in blush and black are the most requested colours, usually with a script mark in foil on the lid.
Matte lamination in soft palettes, a script logo in foil and a ribbon at handover are what most florists ask for. We print CMYK and Pantone, and embossing, spot UV and soft-touch are available too. Practical graphics matter just as much, and a clear this-way-up mark on the sides keeps a courier from laying the box flat.
A slot die-cut inside the lid can hold a care card.
A common round box is 10 inches across and 8 inches tall, and a common long-stem box is 30 x 10 x 6 inches. Round boxes are measured by diameter and height. Long-stem boxes are measured by length, width and depth, with the length set by the longest stem plus room at the head.
Send the arrangement size and we'll allow clearance so no bloom touches the lid.
Our floral boxes begin at a 500-unit order. The minimum is the same for round drums and long-stem builds, and reorders for Valentine's Day or Mother's Day can run from the artwork already on file. Wholesale programmes scale up on the same tooling.
Design help and the dieline cost nothing, and we deliver to florists anywhere in the country.
Once artwork is approved, standard production takes 7 to 10 business days, and a rush order takes 5 to 7. For Valentine's Day or Mother's Day we'd book well before the rush weeks, since every florist is ordering at the same time. Samples are ready in 5 to 7 business days so you can test the liner with a real arrangement.
The sample cost is credited to your production order.
Ventilated outer shippers, stem anchors and orientation marks do most of the work. Flowers keep breathing in the box, so the outer carton has vent holes to stop condensation building up. The anchors stop movement, and this-way-up graphics keep the box upright, since an arrangement delivered on its side is ruined.
The design assumes the box is opened within 24 to 48 hours of packing. Longer transits need insulation, which we can add to the shipper.
