Hair Extension Boxes
Sixteen to thirty inches of hair, and a crease set in storage does not brush out.
A full-length box keeps the bundle straight but ships and merchandises awkwardly. A folded weft is the commercial compromise, and it works if the fold radius is generous and the interior is lined.

Every detail. Intentional.

Sizing & dieline.
We cut Hair Extension Boxes to a dieline built around your product instead of pulling a stock size off the shelf. Send us the length, width and height of the item (or the item itself) and we return a measured dieline, free, before you commit to anything.
Length, width and height of the item itself, at its widest points. Measure the product, not the box you happen to use today.
Allow 2–4 mm on each axis for a snug fit, and more if you are adding foam, a pillow insert or tissue.
We quote as Length × Width × Height. Tell us whether you are working in millimetres or inches and we match it.
✦ Not sure of your size? Send us the product and we measure it and build the dieline.
Pricing & minimums.
We price Hair Extension Boxes per specification rather than from a fixed list, because the same build in two different finishes can land at very different numbers. Below is what actually moves the price, so you can shape the spec before you request a quote.
The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.
Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.
Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.
Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.
Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.
Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.

Questions, answered.
Everything you need to know about Hair Extension Boxes.
Full length keeps the bundle straight, and a folded-weft box is the commercial compromise that ships and merchandises sensibly. A crease set in storage does not brush out, so a folded box only works when the fold radius is generous and the interior is lined. Bundles run 16 to 30 inches, which drives the box length.
Above about 15 inches we move from folding board to E-flute corrugated, because a single sheet of SBS bows across that span.
Because rough board can lift the cuticle over months of storage, and these boxes get kept. A satin lining or a smooth coated interior reduces friction against the hair. The interior is a quality feature here in a way it is not on most cartons, since the customer opens and closes the box for the life of the bundle.
Magnetic closure or a tuck with a handle both make sense for a pack that doubles as storage.
Effectively yes, because numbered chart colours cannot be printed and shade and texture are the purchase decision. A die-cut aperture with clear PET film lets the customer judge both directly. We patch the film in from behind on folding and corrugated boxes, and set it into the lid on a rigid box.
Add a Euro slot or a round punch if the box goes on a peg wall. Beauty supply merchandises vertically.
Soft-touch across the lid with hot foil branding, or gloss lamination where the box lives on a peg. These boxes are handled and kept, so the velvet finish gets noticed, and foil across a wide lid is the usual signal for a human-hair tier over synthetic. Gloss is durable and wipeable for boxes handled repeatedly in store.
An emboss works well because there is a large flat lid to feel it on. Black with gold foil is the category cliché, so a different palette gets attention.
A folded-weft box runs about 12 by 5 by 2 inches, and a full-length box about 22 by 5 by 1.5 inches. Width is set by the weft, depth by how many bundles ship together. Very long bundles at 24 inches and up need the interior sized to length, or the hair folds and crimps in transit.
A structured paperboard insert holds the bundle flat and in position so it arrives in presentation condition.
We start at 500 boxes per design. Brands managing many textures, lengths and colours normally put the top three to five SKUs in custom boxes first and expand as the range grows. The maximum on one order is 100,000.
Length and texture printed on the box create versions. A window and a small spec card keep one box working across the range.
Production takes 7 to 10 business days from artwork sign-off. Rush runs finish in 5 to 7 business days. A sample takes 5 to 7 business days and is worth doing on a full-length E-flute box, since the span is where a weak spec shows.
Sample fees are refunded against the production run, and we deliver across the United States.
The E-flute or greyboard shell recycles as paper, and the window film and satin lining are the parts that do not. If the claim matters, a smooth coated paper interior replaces satin and the aperture can go unfilmed on a rigid lid. Recycled board and water-based inks are available for the shell.
Keep any eco claim on the box specific to the certified components, since the demographic that responds to it also checks it.
