Relying on ink color alone to represent polish color is risky — CMYK print reproduction of metallic, glitter, or sheer polish finishes rarely captures the formula character accurately.
Nail polish is classified as a cosmetic by FDA and requires: product identity, net quantity, manufacturer or distributor name and address, INCI ingredient list, and any required warnings (flammable, keep out of reach of children for solvent-based formulas). Many state regulations (California Prop 65) require additional warnings for certain chemical compounds. A compliance review of the specific formulation against your distribution states is essential before label finalization.
