Pyramid Boxes
A shape that cannot be stacked and is chosen entirely for how it looks.
Four triangular faces meeting at a point. It wastes shelf space and refuses to stack, which is exactly why it stands out where everything else is square.

Every detail. Intentional.

Every order of Pyramid Boxes is an engineered build, measured, dieline-cut and hand-wrapped to spec. Below is the standard build sheet.

Sizing & dieline.
We cut Pyramid Boxes to a dieline built around your product instead of pulling a stock size off the shelf. Send us the length, width and height of the item (or the item itself) and we return a measured dieline, free, before you commit to anything.
Length, width and height of the item itself, at its widest points. Measure the product, not the box you happen to use today.
Allow 2–4 mm on each axis for a snug fit, and more if you are adding foam, a pillow insert or tissue.
We quote as Length × Width × Height. Tell us whether you are working in millimetres or inches and we match it.
✦ Not sure of your size? Send us the product and we measure it and build the dieline.
Pricing & minimums.
We price Pyramid Boxes per specification rather than from a fixed list, because the same build in two different finishes can land at very different numbers. Below is what actually moves the price, so you can shape the spec before you request a quote.
The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.
Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.
Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.
Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.
Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.
Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.

Everything you need to know about Pyramid Boxes.
The classic closure is a ribbon threaded through holes punched near the apex of each triangular face. Pull it tight and the four faces draw together at the point, so the bow acts as both the seal and the decoration. A tab-lock version closes without any ribbon.
Tab-lock is quicker for big event runs where someone is folding hundreds by hand, and the ribbon version looks better on a set table.
Small, loose items that tolerate an odd shape, such as wrapped sweets, sugared almonds, a trinket or a folded note. The inside tapers like a cone, so most of the usable volume sits near the base. Anything tall or rigid ends up pressing against the faces and distorting them.
If you have a particular item in mind, send its size and we'll check it against the net before you commit.
They ship as flat die-cut blanks that fold into shape in a few seconds. Flat packing keeps freight down and makes a few hundred boxes easy to store before an event. Each blank is scored along non-rectangular lines, so the die is more involved than a standard carton's.
Ribbon stock can be supplied with the blanks, so everything for the table arrives in one delivery.
You can pick from a wide range of coloured stocks, pearlised shimmer papers for weddings or kraft for a rustic event. Printed designs are planned on the flat net, since each triangle is seen from a different side once folded. Hot foil, embossing and spot UV all work on the faces.
At small event runs many people keep the box plain and personalise with printed tags, which costs less than changing the print for each occasion.
The classic favor size has a 3 inch square base and stands 3 inches tall. A 4 by 4 inch base at 4.5 inches tall suits a slightly larger gift. We quote pyramids by the width of the base and the height to the apex.
The contents need to sit in the lower part of the box, so size up if the item is close to the limit.
A minimum run is 500 pyramid boxes, which covers most weddings with spares. Retail samplers and seasonal ornament lines use the same die at higher quantities. Colours and ribbon can be matched to the event palette so the whole table reads as one.
Artwork setup and dieline help are free, and we deliver across the USA.
Allow 7 to 10 business days of production after you approve the proof, plus transit to your venue. A 5 to 7 day rush is there when the date is close. We'd order early enough to see a sample first, which takes 5 to 7 business days and lets you test the fold and the ribbon.
The sample charge is credited back when you place the full order.
Yes, the apex ribbon hole lets a pyramid box hang from a tree or a branch with no extra hardware. Holiday brands use this so the pack stays on display after the gift is opened. For hanging use we'd step up to a heavier board so the faces don't bow over time.
Paperboard and kraft pyramids go into paper recycling once the ribbon has been taken off.
