A sidekick is a narrow display that hangs off the side of a gondola endcap or shelf upright, adding product space without taking any floor. It catches shoppers walking past the end of an aisle, where traffic is heaviest. Sidekicks usually carry hooks or small shelves for one product or a related add-on.

Most corrugated sidekicks hang from the endcap upright with metal or plastic clips, or hook over the top of the fixture. Power wing clips grip the fixture wire and pass through the corrugated, which holds firmly without drilling anything. Gondola uprights differ between chains, so we match the attachment to the fixtures in the stores you sell into.

Sidekicks are usually about 12 to 14 in wide and 44 to 60 in tall, so they sit flush with the endcap. Depth is the tight limit, because retailers keep aisles clear for carts and anything sticking out gets knocked. Height normally matches the endcap fixture the sidekick hangs on.

Sidekicks carry light to medium products, because the whole load hangs from the clips at the top. Blister packs, sachets, snacks and small accessories on hooks are the usual fill. Heavy items belong on the endcap shelf itself, with the sidekick carrying the add-on that sells next to them.

Hooks suit hang-tab and blister packs, and shallow shelves or pockets suit small boxes and pouches. A hook sidekick shows every pack face-on and restocks in seconds. Pocket shelves need a front lip tall enough to hold product in place as shoppers pull from them.

Sidekicks mostly sell an add-on beside the product it goes with, such as dip next to chips or batteries next to toys. Retailers like them because they add sales to an endcap without changing its planogram. The graphics should name the link between the two products, so shoppers make the connection without thinking about it.

Sidekick displays start at a low minimum order, which varies by size and attachment type and is confirmed on your quote. A pilot in a few stores is a sensible first run, because it shows how the clips suit the local fixtures before a full rollout.

Sidekicks are made in 7 to 10 business days from approved artwork, or 5 to 7 business days on rush. A sample in 5 to 7 business days lets you hang it on a real fixture, load it and check the clearance into the aisle. The sample fee comes off the bulk order.
