Sizing & dieline.
We cut Sleeves for Mailer Boxes to a dieline built around your product instead of pulling a stock size off the shelf. Send us the length, width and height of the item (or the item itself) and we return a measured dieline, free, before you commit to anything.
Length, width and height of the item itself, at its widest points. Measure the product, not the box you happen to use today.
Allow 2–4 mm on each axis for a snug fit, and more if you are adding foam, a pillow insert or tissue.
We quote as Length × Width × Height. Tell us whether you are working in millimetres or inches and we match it.
✦ Not sure of your size? Send us the product and we measure it and build the dieline.
Pricing & minimums.
We price Sleeves for Mailer Boxes per specification rather than from a fixed list, because the same build in two different finishes can land at very different numbers. Below is what actually moves the price, so you can shape the spec before you request a quote.
The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.
Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.
Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.
Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.
Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.
Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.

Questions, answered.
Everything you need to know about Sleeves for Mailer Boxes.
Corrugated mailers vary with flute and folding, and once erected they usually run a little larger than their nominal size. A sleeve cut to the stated size can buckle or refuse to slide on.
We measure real, erected boxes from your stock and size the sleeve to them. The goal is a friction fit, snug enough to stay put and loose enough to come off without tearing.
A full sleeve covers the whole mailer and suits boxes that ship on their own, while a band covers a strip and costs less when the mailer rides inside an outer carton. Cut snug, full coverage gives courier belts less edge to catch.
Bands still carry a logo and a theme well. Plenty of subscription brands use a full sleeve for the launch box and bands for the monthly runs.
The mailer stays the same every month and only the sleeve artwork changes, so one box die serves every campaign. Sleeves print on litho quickly and in shorter runs, which makes monthly themes, collaborations and test-market versions practical.
You hold plain mailer stock and order sleeves as each theme is ready. That keeps you from sitting on printed boxes for a season that's already over.
Matte lamination is our usual pick, since it photographs well on a doorstep and handles transit wear. Gloss lamination gives brighter colour, and unlaminated kraft sleeves give a natural look.
Full CMYK artwork wraps continuously around the sleeve, with no flaps breaking it up. Parcels that sit on porches in the rain benefit from an extra water-resistant coat.
We make sleeves for mailer footprints from 6 x 4 inches up to 14 x 10 inches. The sleeve is sized to the length and width of the erected box plus its depth, because it wraps around four faces.
If your mailers come from another supplier, send two or three erected samples. We'll measure them and allow for the variation corrugated brings.
Yes, sleeve orders start at 500, which is a sensible size for a limited or seasonal edition. A printed band costs less to produce than reprinting the mailers themselves, so short editions become practical.
Plan each theme as its own sleeve design, all fitting the same plain mailer you keep in stock.
A new sleeve design goes through production in 7 to 10 business days from sign-off, and rush trims that to 5 to 7. A sample sleeve on your mailer takes 5 to 7 business days and confirms the fit before the full run.
Once the fit is proven on the first design, later themes can usually skip the sample. We credit the sample fee toward your production order.
Yes, 18pt is our standard sleeve weight because it resists tearing as boxes move through courier networks. Thinner card creases and rips at the edges where sorting belts catch it.
Kraft sleeve stock has a natural brown face and recycles alongside the corrugated mailer. White coated stock gives cleaner colour for bright themes.
