The moment that matters

The box is the building.
Inserts are everything else.

Furniture. Bodyguards. Stage crew. The unseen architecture that makes your product feel like it lives somewhere — not like it was just dropped in a box.

The box is part of the outfit.

In fashion, the packaging is the first thing the customer touches.

§1

First impression before the garment

A customer opens the box before they wear the clothes. That first tactile moment — the weight of the lid, the tissue fold, the scent of the interior — sets the entire perception of the brand. Packaging earns the price point before the product is seen.

§2

Unboxing is content

Fashion unboxing videos generate billions of views annually. A beautifully packaged order becomes organic marketing — every customer with a phone is a potential brand ambassador. The packaging that gets filmed is the packaging worth investing in.

§3

Retention starts at the doorstep

Studies show that premium packaging increases repeat purchase rates by up to 40%. In fashion, where repeat purchase is the entire business model, the unboxing experience is a direct retention investment — not a cost.

The packaging blew our customers away. Unboxing videos went viral overnight. PackTist nailed every single detail.

Questions, answered.

Poly mailers for soft goods that cannot be crushed, and boxes where presentation matters or contents need structure.

The economics favour poly heavily: a mailer weighs ounces where a comparable box weighs close to a pound, and on parcels priced by weight that difference is paid on every shipment. For fashion brands where the unboxing is part of the proposition, a box or a box-in-mailer earns its cost — but for straightforward apparel fulfilment, the mailer is usually right.

Tissue interleaving at the fold lines, and boxes sized so contents sit under light pressure rather than compressed or loose.

Tissue does two jobs: it prevents crease-set at folds, and it stops print transfer and friction-shine on delicate or embellished fabrics. Acid-free tissue matters for anything stored long term. The depth rule is that a garment box should hold its contents at a light press — a vacuum-tight fit sets creases and a loose one lets the folds shift.

A closure that survives being opened and resealed — usually a double adhesive strip.

Apparel has the highest return rates in e-commerce, and a package the customer cannot easily reseal creates friction that costs conversions before it costs returns. A second adhesive strip that lets a customer close the same mailer for the return journey removes the need for tape, and for swimwear and fit-sensitive categories it is close to a requirement.
