Peel-push adds a laminated peel layer over the foil, while reinforced foil stays push-resistant until the user works a tab. Both are accepted routes to child resistance on a blister card.

We would steer most projects toward peel-push. Seniors peel it reliably, so it tends to pass both panels, whereas the manipulation step on reinforced foil can trip up older adults.

PVC, PVC/PVDC, Aclar, PET and PP thermoform are the usual forming films, with cold-form aluminium where maximum barrier is needed. The choice follows the stability your contents require, and we'll quote whichever you specify.

Certification applies to the lidding and the forming film as a tested pair. Switching films later to save cost means the new combination needs its own results, so settle the film before testing.

The backing card takes full CMYK print, and the lidding web can carry per-row lot numbers, day marking and opening graphics. A printed arrow on the peel tab shows where to start, and a two-step graphic shows peel, then push.

The card is printed without spot UV on this format. Leave room near the opening instructions for the certification statement, since buyers look for it there.

The card size follows the number of cavities, their shape and the spacing between them. We start from standard blister card formats and cut a custom cavity to the unit's outline, then add margin for the heat seal and any hang hole.

If you have several counts or SKUs, each card layout is treated as its own run. Larger blister programs scale to 100,000 cards without changing the cavity tooling.

Standard turnaround is 7 to 10 business days after proof approval, and rush work runs 5 to 7. Samples come back in 5 to 7 business days, which gives you real cards to check the peel tab and send for panel testing.

We credit the sample fee toward the full run of blister cards. Ask for the senior panel results on the exact lidding and film pairing before you sign off, rather than assuming them.

Yes, we punch a hang hole in the backing card so the pack can go on a peg hook. The thermoformed cavity keeps each unit visible through clear film, and the heat seal to the card makes any tampering obvious.

This format doesn't come as a windowed clamshell. If you need a fully enclosed retail shell, a printed carton over the blister card is the usual answer.
