Clothing Boxes
The workhorse of apparel retail, built flat and wide and sized by what folds into it.
Everything from a folded tee to a coat travels in this footprint. Width and depth vary by garment while the base panel does the same job in every version.

Every detail. Intentional.
Depth is the variable
Tee, shirt, knit, coat.
The base spans widest
Where garment boxes fail.
Two-piece or tuck-end
Gift register or volume shipping.
Kraft and SBS both work
Sustainability or print fidelity.
Sized to fold standards
Retail folds are consistent.
Stacked in the stockroom
Compression matters as much.

Built like architecture.
Every order of Clothing Boxes is an engineered build, measured, dieline-cut and hand-wrapped to spec. Below is the standard build sheet.

Sizing & dieline.
We cut Clothing Boxes to a dieline built around your product instead of pulling a stock size off the shelf. Send us the length, width and height of the item (or the item itself) and we return a measured dieline, free, before you commit to anything.
Length, width and height of the item itself, at its widest points. Measure the product, not the box you happen to use today.
Allow 2–4 mm on each axis for a snug fit, and more if you are adding foam, a pillow insert or tissue.
We quote as Length × Width × Height. Tell us whether you are working in millimetres or inches and we match it.
✦ Not sure of your size? Send us the product and we measure it and build the dieline.
Pricing & minimums.
We price Clothing Boxes per specification rather than from a fixed list, because the same build in two different finishes can land at very different numbers. Below is what actually moves the price, so you can shape the spec before you request a quote.
The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.
Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.
Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.
Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.
Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.
Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.

Questions, answered.
Everything you need to know about Clothing Boxes.
A sturdy two-piece lid-and-base box covers both channels best. In store, the lid can be propped open to show the folded garment, and the box stacks neatly on fixtures and in the stockroom. For online orders it holds its shape inside a corrugated outer shipper.
For volume shipping, a tuck-end version packs faster at the bench. Sent without an outer, clothing boxes need a mailer hybrid build, since a plain folding box has soft corners.
Deep enough that the lid presses lightly on the folded garment, with no gap and no crush. Too much depth lets a shirt slide and wrinkle, and too little flattens a knit and leaves shine marks on dark fabric. Depth is the dimension that changes most across a range, from a tee to a coat.
We work out depth from the garment folded in its tissue, since the tissue adds bulk too.
The base is the widest unsupported panel, so it is the first to bow under weight. A heavy fold pushes the centre down, and in a stockroom the boxes above add their own compression. A bowed base then rocks and splits at the corners.
We size the board for the widest panel and the stack it will sit in, and on the largest sizes we'd move to E-flute corrugated.
Both work, and the choice comes down to whether you lead on sustainability or on print. Kraft board suits a casual or natural brand and takes simple one- or two-colour artwork well. White SBS paperboard gives accurate colour, fine type and a smooth surface for a foil monogram.
Recycled content and water-based inks are available on either, and both builds are recyclable.
Keep the construction the same and change only the printed artwork each season. One dieline and one set of tooling keeps reorders simple, while a new exterior or interior print gives each collection its own face. Some brands go further and keep a neutral monogrammed box all year, then add a seasonal seal sticker or card.
Matte lamination with a foil monogram is the fashion standard, and kraft with twine suits a casual label.
Our standard sizes are 12 x 9 x 3, 15 x 11 x 4 and 17 x 13 x 5 inches, and they can be built as a nested small, medium and large family. The small box takes a folded tee or shirt, the medium a knit, and the large a jacket or coat. Nesting saves space in storage while the boxes wait to be packed.
If your folds are consistent, we'd size each box to the fold rather than the garment count.
Our floor for clothing boxes is 500 units. The ceiling on a single order is 100,000. Seasonal brands usually line packaging orders up with garment production so the boxes arrive before the stock does.
For a brand launch, we'd approve a sample of each size first and then place the bulk order.
Boxes are produced in 7 to 10 business days from proof approval. If a collection drop is fixed, the rush option takes 5 to 7 business days. Samples of each size can be turned around in 5 to 7 business days, and the amount you pay for them is credited when the production order is placed.
We ship finished orders anywhere across the USA.
