Sizing & dieline.
We cut Custom Flyers Printing to a dieline built around your product instead of pulling a stock size off the shelf. Send us the length, width and height of the item (or the item itself) and we return a measured dieline, free, before you commit to anything.
Length, width and height of the item itself, at its widest points. Measure the product, not the box you happen to use today.
Allow 2–4 mm on each axis for a snug fit, and more if you are adding foam, a pillow insert or tissue.
We quote as Length × Width × Height. Tell us whether you are working in millimetres or inches and we match it.
✦ Not sure of your size? Send us the product and we measure it and build the dieline.
Pricing & minimums.
We price Custom Flyers Printing per specification rather than from a fixed list, because the same build in two different finishes can land at very different numbers. Below is what actually moves the price, so you can shape the spec before you request a quote.
The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.
Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.
Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.
Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.
Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.
Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.

Everything you need to know about Custom Flyers Printing.
130gsm silk is the high-volume standard for street handouts, and 170gsm silk is what we run for counter or rack display. The lighter sheet keeps the cost per thousand down where attention lasts two seconds. The heavier one stands up in a rack instead of flopping over.
Door-drop flyers go slightly heavier than handout stock so they survive a letterbox, and inserts go as light as possible because the host item pays the postage.
Uncoated or matt stock takes a pen, while gloss lamination resists ink and smears. If the flyer carries a form, a tick box or space for a name, we steer you away from gloss every time. Matt lamination protects against handling marks and stays fairly writeable.
Unlaminated silk sits in between and is what most volume handouts use.
Printing the reverse doubles your space for very little extra cost, so we usually recommend it. The front carries the one message and the detail goes on the back. Leaving the reverse blank wastes paper you have already paid for.
The discipline is to keep one job per side and to resist filling it because the space is there.
Most high-volume flyers are unlaminated, which is the cheapest and most recyclable finish and the one that takes a pen. Gloss lamination gives vivid colour for photographic work but cannot be written on. Matt lamination protects a premium handout with no glare.
Spot colour matching keeps a brand tone consistent across reprints, which matters when a flyer is reordered every month.
A5 at 5.83 by 8.27 inches and DL at 3.9 by 8.27 inches are the two distribution formats that dominate. A4 at 8.27 by 11.69 inches works for posters and counter displays. A6 and square trims are also available, along with custom formats.
Size is stated on the trimmed sheet, and we need bleed on any artwork that runs to the edge.
Flyer runs start at 500 sheets. The format lives on cost per thousand, so the unit rate drops in tiers above 1,000 and keeps falling at higher volumes. A single specification can be run up to 100,000 sheets.
Short runs are available for a test of two messages before the main print.
A standard flyer order is ready in 7 to 10 business days, and a rush order ships in 5 to 7 business days. Flyers are expected in days rather than weeks and that is how we schedule them. A sample of the chosen stock and finish takes 5 to 7 business days, with the sample fee credited against the run.
Unlaminated flyers on uncoated or silk stock go straight into paper recycling. At flyer volumes a lot of paper is used briefly, so recycled paper stock is a sensible choice and it prints well. Lamination makes the sheet harder to recycle, which is one more reason we keep volume handouts unlaminated.
Lightweight stock for inserts also cuts the postage on the host mailing.
