A New Year kit arrives in the first working week, when nothing else competes and couriers are quiet. A December gift is one of fifteen on the same desk, moving through a postal peak. January transit is faster and gentler, and production runs at normal rates instead of seasonal ones.

The same budget buys a better box.

The fitted insert is cut with cavities sized for diaries, planners and desk objects that stay on the desk for twelve months. A rigid greyboard box carries the presentation, and recycled board is the volume option that suits a forward-looking message. A shipper outer protects it in the post.

It is worthless, so the whole job is planned backward from the first working week of January. The year is printed on the box, which also makes any overrun dead stock. We check every dated element, calendar and year mark before plates are made, since there is no second chance.

Matt lamination as the base, with foil in your brand colour in place of seasonal gold and red. The register is the year ahead, so full CMYK artwork stays forward-looking and free of festive imagery. Emboss or deboss gives the year mark a tactile presence.

The inside-lid message is usually a note about the year to come.

10 by 8 by 3 inches and 12 by 9 by 4 inches are the standard formats. A diary or planner usually sets the footprint, and the insert is cut around that. Internal dimensions are quoted, with the rigid board adding to the outside.

New Year kits ship in runs of 500 upward. The rate tiers down above 1,000, and because production sits outside the seasonal peak, capacity is easier to find than for a December order. Runs can go to 100,000 on a single specification.

Order in autumn, then production is 7 to 10 business days or 5 to 7 business days on a rush. International recipients add customs time on top of that. A sample kit is made in 5 to 7 business days and the sample fee is credited on the bulk order.

Artwork and dieline help cost nothing.

Often, and the postal-rated construction with a shipper outer is built for that. Customs adds time, so the despatch date moves earlier for overseas addresses. January transit is considerably gentler than December, but the fitted insert still holds contents through the parcel network.
