Kraft Mylar Bags.

From the inner film, not the paper. Kraft / PE gives a basic moisture barrier from a polyethylene liner, which suits dry goods with a modest shelf life. Kraft / AL / PE puts an aluminium foil layer behind the paper for coffee-grade barrier with the same natural face.

The PE liner is also the sealant layer, so it is what touches the product and forms the heat seal.

Brown paper mixes with every colour laid on it, so hues shift darker and warmer. Bold marks, line work and one or two colour designs outperform photography on this substrate. Where colour has to read true, a white underprint is laid first so the ink sits on a pale base.

White kraft is the other route: bleached paper for a paler base when reproduction matters more than the raw look.

Hot foil stamping, since metallic against brown kraft is the highest-contrast option on this substrate. Uncoated kraft keeps the raw matte texture, and a thin matte lamination protects against scuffing while keeping most of the feel. Spot gloss varnish shows as sheen against the paper.

Print is gravure, and the design team will advise where an underprint is needed.

A die-cut panel is cut through the paper and the film behind it stays sealed, so product shows against the kraft. The window costs barrier locally, which is why its size is a deliberate trade rather than a default. On a foil-lined build it is the one weak point.

We keep it at the fill line so it shows contents, and off the seal areas.

Stock sizes are 10 × 15, 12 × 16, 15 × 25, 20 × 30 and 25 × 35 cm, or built to your fill. Common inch formats are 4 × 6, 5 × 8 with a 3 inch gusset, and 7 × 10. Sizes are quoted as width by length with the gusset listed separately.

Yes, a recycled kraft outer with post-consumer content is available. The claim is stated as a percentage on the pack, and the tone of the paper is slightly more variable, which some brands want. The bag remains a paper-over-film laminate, so it is not kerbside recyclable and we say so on the panel.

The minimum is 500 units. Because gravure cylinders are involved, one or two colour designs keep the setup lean at that quantity, and pricing tiers again above 1,000. Layout and dieline are prepared free of charge, including the white underprint layer where needed.

Expect 7 to 10 business days for a standard order and 5 to 7 business days on rush. Samples ship in 5 to 7 business days and are the right way to check how your colours land on brown paper before the run.
