Sizing & dieline.
Every Loop Handle Paper Bags is made to your fill, not pulled off a shelf. A pouch is quoted width × length. Tell us what goes inside and how much of it, and we return a measured spec, free, before you commit to anything.
A pouch is sized by what goes in it, not by outside dimensions. Give us the fill weight and, if you can, the bulk, since 500 g of granola needs far more bag than 500 g of powder.
We quote width × length. Flat pouches need no gusset figure, because the bag lies flat when empty.
Zipper or heat seal only, valve or no valve, window or full barrier. These change the film and the bag height, so they belong in the spec rather than added afterwards.
✦ Not sure of your size? Send us the product and we measure it and build the dieline.
Pricing & minimums.
We price Loop Handle Paper Bags per specification rather than from a fixed list, because the same build in two different finishes can land at very different numbers. Below is what actually moves the price, so you can shape the spec before you request a quote.
The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.
Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.
Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.
Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.
Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.
Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.

Questions, answered.
Everything you need to know about Loop Handle Paper Bags.
The cord is threaded through holes in the top fold and either knotted on the inside or anchored with metal eyelets. It's applied by hand rather than formed by machine, which is why these bags take more work to make and last longer in use.
A board inside the hem spreads the pull of the handle across the width of the bag. Without it, the holes would tear upward as soon as the bag is loaded.
Knotted cord is the classic look and the more common choice, while eyelets give a polished hardware finish. Eyelets also protect the punched hole from wear, which helps on bags that carry heavier items.
We'd lean toward eyelets for beauty and jewellery counters and knotted cotton rope for apparel and spa. Both sit on the same hem board, so the choice comes down to how you want the top of the bag to look.
Cotton rope suits apparel and spa brands, satin ribbon suits beauty counters, and PP cord is the practical, lower-cost option. The handle material tells the customer which tier of shop they're in before they look at the print.
We colour-match cords to your brand palette so the handle becomes part of the design. Kraft loop builds with cotton cord give a natural alternative to laminated art paper.
Matte lamination over full-bleed colour is the default for fashion retail. It resists fingerprints and gives a solid brand colour an even, smooth surface.
Hot foil adds a luxury mark on top, and spot UV can pick out a logo against the matte. Gloss lamination is available too, though most boutiques prefer matte for this format.
Boutique loop bags run from about 8 × 4 × 10 in up to 16 × 6 × 12 in. Sizes are quoted as width, gusset and height, and the wider formats are often cut wider than they are tall to take folded clothing.
Handle length matters as much as the bag. Shoulder-length cords need a longer loop than hand-carry handles, so tell us how you expect customers to carry it and we'll set the drop to suit.
Heavy laminated paper and real cord handles make the bag sturdy enough to carry for months after the sale. In our experience they're kept and reused more than any other paper bag type we make.
Every reuse puts your name on the street again, which is the real business case for the extra spend. The 157 to 210gsm stock holds its shape through that repeated handling.
Yes, 500 bags is the minimum for a custom loop handle order. Most boutiques start with a single size and add a second once they see which one leaves the shop most.
Chains ordering across locations can go up to 100,000. We'll prepare the dieline and place your artwork for free, so the tissue, ribbon and bag can be planned as one set.
Plan on 7 to 10 business days of production after the proof is approved. Rush service is 5 to 7 business days if a store opening is close.
We'd get a sample in first to check cord colour and drop length, which takes 5 to 7 business days. The sample fee is credited against the bag order, and shipping reaches every state.
