Sizing & dieline.
Every Paper Bags For Bakery is made to your fill, not pulled off a shelf. A pouch is quoted width × length. Tell us what goes inside and how much of it, and we return a measured spec, free, before you commit to anything.
A pouch is sized by what goes in it, not by outside dimensions. Give us the fill weight and, if you can, the bulk, since 500 g of granola needs far more bag than 500 g of powder.
We quote width × length. Flat pouches need no gusset figure, because the bag lies flat when empty.
Zipper or heat seal only, valve or no valve, window or full barrier. These change the film and the bag height, so they belong in the spec rather than added afterwards.
✦ Not sure of your size? Send us the product and we measure it and build the dieline.
Pricing & minimums.
We price Paper Bags For Bakery per specification rather than from a fixed list, because the same build in two different finishes can land at very different numbers. Below is what actually moves the price, so you can shape the spec before you request a quote.
The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.
Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.
Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.
Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.
Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.
Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.

Everything you need to know about Paper Bags For Bakery.
Every item in the case has a bag that serves it fastest at the register, so a bakery ends up running a small fleet of formats. Cookies go in glassine, croissants in lined kraft, and loaves in long bread bags.
Staff shouldn't have to think about which bag to reach for. We supply the set as a nested size assortment, printed to match, so it looks like one family on the counter.
Glassine is dense and naturally greaseproof, so it holds butter cookies without any coating. It's also translucent, which gives the customer a soft view of what's inside.
We supply glassine as flat bags sized for cookies and small pastries, around 6 × 1 × 8 in. It's a light sheet, so we'd keep it for items that go straight home and put heavier goods in kraft.
A greaseproof-lined kraft bag is the right choice for croissants, danish and anything laminated with butter. The liner stops the fat soaking through to the outside, where it would mark clothes and car seats.
These bags are a little heavier than glassine and hold their shape better with several pastries inside. The barriers are PFAS-free and certified for food contact.
Crisp items like baguettes and croissants want a bag that breathes, and soft items like brioche can take a closer wrap. A sealed bag traps moisture, and a crisp crust goes soft within hours.
The deciding question is whether the item will be eaten today or tomorrow. For same-day sales we'd go breathable, and for next-day items a tighter wrap keeps them soft longer.
Stamp marks and script typography are the classic bakery look, printed in one or two colours on kraft or white. Flexo keeps the run economical at the volumes a bakery goes through.
For gift orders, a twine-and-sticker close on a plain bag works well and needs no custom print at all. Matte and gloss lamination, spot UV and foil are also on the menu if you're making a retail gift bag.
The usual set covers cookie flats at about 6 × 1 × 8 in, bread bags at 8 × 4 × 16 in and a range of pastry satchels in between. We quote them by width, gusset and length.
If you already use stock bags, send us the sizes you go through fastest and we'll build the custom set around them. Nested sizes that fit inside one another store in less space under the counter.
The minimum per order is 500 bakery bags. A single-location shop usually starts with the bag it uses most, often the pastry satchel, and adds the rest later.
Multi-site bakeries can order up to 100,000. Design help costs nothing, and we'll send a digital proof of each size before anything is printed.
Standard production is 7 to 10 business days after you sign off the proof, and rush is 5 to 7. Shipping time depends on where you are in the USA.
We can make samples in 5 to 7 business days so you can test each bag with a real pastry at the till. If you go ahead with the order, the sample cost is credited.
