Pancake Box
Steam versus heat, the hardest balance in breakfast delivery.
Pancakes leave the griddle at their best and steam themselves soft in anything sealed. Vent tuning is the craft, and syrup is the catastrophic failure to design against.

Every detail. Intentional.
Vents placed where steam collects
Tuned to real delivery times.
Syrup breaches are total
Wells or sealed side cups.
Three attacks at once
Heat, moisture and grease.
Square for delivery totes
Level tops, stackable.
Compartments for sides
Bacon has its own grease agenda.
Test at delivery duration
Not at counter service times.

Built like architecture.
Every order of Pancake Box is an engineered build, measured, dieline-cut and hand-wrapped to spec. Below is the standard build sheet.

Every surface, hand-selected.
What this product is built from, and the surfaces it takes. Below the build sheet sits the full swatch library. Every option applies across our range, and a physical swatch set is available on request.

Sizing & dieline.
We cut Pancake Box to a dieline built around your product instead of pulling a stock size off the shelf. Send us the length, width and height of the item (or the item itself) and we return a measured dieline, free, before you commit to anything.
Length, width and height of the item itself, at its widest points. Measure the product, not the box you happen to use today.
Allow 2–4 mm on each axis for a snug fit, and more if you are adding foam, a pillow insert or tissue.
We quote as Length × Width × Height. Tell us whether you are working in millimetres or inches and we match it.
✦ Not sure of your size? Send us the product and we measure it and build the dieline.
Pricing & minimums.
We price Pancake Box per specification rather than from a fixed list, because the same build in two different finishes can land at very different numbers. Below is what actually moves the price, so you can shape the spec before you request a quote.
The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.
Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.
Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.
Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.
Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.
Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.

Questions, answered.
Everything you need to know about Pancake Box.
Put the vents high on the box and make them generous, because steam rises and collects under the lid. Pancakes steam themselves soft in anything sealed, so the vents have to let moisture out without dumping all the heat.
We tune vent size to your real delivery times. A box that works for a quick counter pickup can fail on a longer delivery, so test it on the route you actually run.
Seat the syrup in a sealed side cup held in a die-cut well, never loose in the box. A breach soaks the pancakes and softens the base board together, which ruins the whole order.
We build the well into the compartment tray so the cup can't tip. A gloss interior coating makes drips wipeable, but the well is what prevents the leak.
Yes, compartment trays split the box so the sides sit apart from the stack. Bacon brings its own grease, and without a wall it would transfer straight into the pancakes.
We lay out the compartments to suit your menu. Clamshell builds with a hinged lid work well for takeout, and the same compartment layout can go into a tuck-top box too.
Diner typography and warm morning colours are the usual choice, printed CMYK on the clay-coated board. Treated kraft gives a more natural look if your brand leans that way.
Inside, a gloss coating keeps syrup wipeable. We keep print clear of the vent area on the dieline, so the logo isn't cut through when the vents are punched.
A 6 × 6 × 3 in box takes a plain stack, and 8 × 8 × 3 in leaves room for sides. Both are square with level tops, which lets them stack flat inside a delivery tote without sliding.
If your pancakes are larger than a standard short stack, give us the diameter and stack height, and we'll resize the footprint while keeping the lid flat.
The minimum run for a custom pancake box is 500. For a breakfast spot testing delivery, that's enough boxes to trial the vents and syrup wells on real orders before committing to more.
A plain box and a compartment version are separate items. We can quote both together so they share one print design.
We produce pancake boxes in 7 to 10 business days, and a rush order is done in 5 to 7. A sample takes 5 to 7 business days to make, with the fee credited against your first production run.
We'd sample this one before any bulk order. Put a box through a real delivery with syrup in the well and see how the vents perform, then we ship the full run anywhere in the USA.
Clay-coated board is our standard for pancake boxes, since it resists heat, moisture and grease together. Treated kraft is the alternative for a natural look, with a food-safe coating on the inside.
If you need a compostable box, that option exists, but we'd test it on your longest route first, as steam is harder on uncoated fibre.
