Pharmaceutical Display Boxes
Regulated goods in a retail display, carrying compliance text that still has to sell.
Pharmacy counter units carry required panels and promotional messaging in the same square inches. The hierarchy is decided before the design starts.

Every detail. Intentional.

Built like architecture.
Every order of Pharmaceutical Display Boxes is an engineered build, measured, dieline-cut and hand-wrapped to spec. Below is the standard build sheet.

Sizing & dieline.
We cut Pharmaceutical Display Boxes to a dieline built around your product instead of pulling a stock size off the shelf. Send us the length, width and height of the item (or the item itself) and we return a measured dieline, free, before you commit to anything.
Length, width and height of the item itself, at its widest points. Measure the product, not the box you happen to use today.
Allow 2–4 mm on each axis for a snug fit, and more if you are adding foam, a pillow insert or tissue.
We quote as Length × Width × Height. Tell us whether you are working in millimetres or inches and we match it.
✦ Not sure of your size? Send us the product and we measure it and build the dieline.
Pricing & minimums.
We price Pharmaceutical Display Boxes per specification rather than from a fixed list, because the same build in two different finishes can land at very different numbers. Below is what actually moves the price, so you can shape the spec before you request a quote.
The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.
Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.
Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.
Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.
Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.
Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.

Questions, answered.
Everything you need to know about Pharmaceutical Display Boxes.
We settle the hierarchy before design starts, deciding what the required text needs and what's left for promotion. Claims on a display are held to the same standard as the pack, so the copy should come from your approved labelling and go through the same review.
Once the required panels have their space, the rest of the face can sell. Counter units are read from above at counter height, so the header and the top edge carry the strongest message.
Most are E-flute corrugated with a litho-laminated printed sheet, which gives counter-quality graphics on a unit that stands up to restocking. The unit ships flat, or as a display-shipper that arrives full and converts from case to counter unit when the lid comes off.
We match the capacity to your wholesale case so the unit lands full. Shelf dividers and a header card can be added, and PVC or acrylic is available where a clear front is wanted.
Our counter units typically run 8 × 6 × 10 in and shelf trays 12 × 8 × 3 in. Pharmacy counters are cramped and shared with the till, bags and leaflets, so a compact footprint gets placed where a larger unit gets refused.
We build to your pack dimensions and count. Tiers can be added to fit more facings on the same base when counter space is tight.
Gloss lamination is the practical choice, because pharmacy counters are cleaned all day and a laminated face wipes without scuffing. Matte lamination works too if you prefer a quieter look, and spot UV or a hot foil accent can pick out the logo or the active ingredient.
Unlaminated board marks quickly under cleaning spray and hand contact. We'd keep it for short promotions only.
Yes, behind the counter the pharmacist decides what goes on show, and clinical information earns the space. A panel covering the active ingredient and counselling points supports the conversation at the counter. Front-of-counter units and self-selection shelf trays behave like ordinary retail, where branding and the offer lead.
We can print both versions from one structure, changing only the graphics between them.
Design it to be refilled without rebuilding, since store labour costs more than the board does. Open-front trays and fixed dividers let staff drop new packs in straight from the case. A header hole or clip strip version hangs product on a peg instead.
Corrugated construction keeps the unit square after several refills. We test a filled sample so the tray doesn't sag under the heaviest pack in the range.
Pharmacy display orders open at 500 units. That covers a regional rollout or a chain trial, and repeat runs reuse the same die. Counter units and shelf trays are separate structures and are quoted as separate lines.
Displays ship flat to you for filling unless you choose the display-shipper route.
Production takes 7 to 10 business days from approved artwork, and 5 to 7 on rush. Before that, a structural sample is ready in 5 to 7 business days so you can fill it and see it on a real counter.
Build the claims review into your schedule ahead of print, since display copy needs sign-off like the pack does. The fee for the sample is credited to your production order.
