Sizing & dieline.
We cut Soap Boxes With Window to a dieline built around your product instead of pulling a stock size off the shelf. Send us the length, width and height of the item (or the item itself) and we return a measured dieline, free, before you commit to anything.
Length, width and height of the item itself, at its widest points. Measure the product, not the box you happen to use today.
Allow 2–4 mm on each axis for a snug fit, and more if you are adding foam, a pillow insert or tissue.
We quote as Length × Width × Height. Tell us whether you are working in millimetres or inches and we match it.
✦ Not sure of your size? Send us the product and we measure it and build the dieline.
Pricing & minimums.
We price Soap Boxes With Window per specification rather than from a fixed list, because the same build in two different finishes can land at very different numbers. Below is what actually moves the price, so you can shape the spec before you request a quote.
The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.
Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.
Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.
Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.
Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.
Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.

Everything you need to know about Soap Boxes With Window.
For most bars we would cut an open aperture and leave the film out. The bar breathes through the opening and the scent reaches the shopper, and fragrance is often what closes the sale on a craft shelf.
Film earns its place when you want the box tidier and dust-free, since it seals in both directions. That suits a bar with loose botanicals on the surface, or a retailer who keeps stock near an open door.
Both are available, and the choice usually follows what the rest of the pack claims. PET is the conventional clear option and keeps its clarity after a lot of handling because it resists scratching. Cellulose film is compostable, so it sits better on a box that talks about natural ingredients or low waste.
Whichever you pick, we suggest printing the film type on the pack. Shoppers who read panels closely notice that detail, and it keeps the claim honest.
Put the aperture over the bar's most characteristic face, which is usually the cut face with the swirl or the layers. A bar with a stamped top suits a window in the lid panel instead. The opening takes board out of the carton, so we keep a solid frame around it and stop short of the folds and tuck flaps.
Shaped dies are available too, in ovals, arches or a brand outline, cut on the same tool as the carton.
Yes, and it's the cheapest way to run a range, because one cutting die and one window position serve every scent. The structure and brand layout stay fixed while a colour band or a scent name panel changes from version to version.
Changing only the printed band keeps setup simple when you add a scent later. The bar showing through the window does a lot of the telling apart on its own.
Uncoated kraft with a one-colour print is the look most soap makers go for, and it tolerates the oil a bar gives off. On SBS or art paper we can add CMYK and PMS colour, foil, embossing, spot UV, or matte, gloss and soft-touch lamination.
Design the printed frame around the view so it leads the eye into the window. On coated stock we keep a coating behind the window area as well, because oils still reach the board there.
Measure the bar's length, width and height, and we set the inside of the carton just clear of it so the bar can't slide away from the window. A common size for this style is 3.5 × 2.5 × 1.2 inches, and it works with either film or an open aperture.
For bars that vary a little between batches, a simple paperboard insert holds the soap against the window panel. A physical sample is the surest way to confirm the bar lines up before a full run.
Our minimum for this carton is 500 units, which suits a first run for most small soap makers. Many makers use that first order to check the window placement and the print on real stock before they move to bigger volumes.
Design and dieline help costs nothing, so the window size and position can be worked out on the flat layout at no charge.
Production takes 7 to 10 business days once you approve the artwork, and a rush schedule brings that down to 5 to 7. The film window is applied during normal finishing and is already inside that schedule.
A physical sample takes 5 to 7 business days if you want to hold one first. The sample fee comes off the production invoice when you go ahead, and we ship anywhere in the USA.
