Overview

Stick Packs

One dose per pack, run many lanes at once — which is what makes single-serve viable.

A narrow sealed tube holding a single serving of powder or liquid. Brand, flavour and dose share a strip about an inch wide, so hierarchy matters far more than decoration.

Metallised Laminate
Lower-cost barrier for less sensitive powders and short shelf lives.

What We Make

The full kit of capabilities.

Single-Dose Format
One stick, one measured serving, sealed at the factory.
Bottle-Neck Pour
Narrow opening that empties into a bottle without spilling.
Foil Barrier
Full moisture and oxygen protection for hygroscopic powders.
Easy-Tear Opening
Tears cleanly across the top rather than down a side.
High-Speed Production
Dedicated stick machinery running from roll stock.
Inline Batch Coding
Lot numbers and dates printed at production, not applied afterwards.
Carton Presentation
Sticks packed upright in rows for retail cartons and subscription boxes.
Liquid & Gel Fills
Not only powders — honey, gels and concentrates run in this format.
Lowest Cost Per Gram
Thirty individual sticks use far more film than one tub. You are paying for dose control and portability, and it is a real premium.
Economical at Low Volume
Stick machinery rewards long runs. Below a few thousand units a small flat sachet is usually the better commercial answer.

Measure Twice

Sizing & dieline.

Every Stick Packs is made to your fill, not pulled off a shelf. A pouch is quoted width × length — tell us what goes inside and how much of it, and we return a measured spec, free, before you commit to anything.

How to measure
01
Start with the fill

A pouch is sized by what goes in it, not by outside dimensions. Give us the fill weight and, if you can, the bulk — 500 g of granola needs far more bag than 500 g of powder.

02
Width and length

We quote width × length. Flat pouches need no gusset figure — the bag lies flat when empty.

03
Say what it must do

Zipper or heat seal only, valve or no valve, window or full barrier. These change the film and the bag height, so they belong in the spec rather than added afterwards.

What It Costs

Stick Packs is priced per specification rather than from a fixed list — the same box in two different finishes can land at very different numbers. Below is what actually moves the price, so you can shape the spec before you request a quote.

What moves the price
Quantity

The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.

Material and thickness

Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.

Finishing

Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.

Print coverage

Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.

Inserts and hardware

Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.

Timeline

Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.

— Frequently Asked Questions —

Questions, answered.

Everything you need to know about Stick Packs.

A narrow, tall single-dose sachet. Structurally it is a back seal bag — one sheet of film formed into a tube and sealed down the back, then across the top and bottom — but made long and thin rather than square.

The proportions are the whole design. A stick pack is narrow enough to pour into the neck of a water bottle without spilling, slim enough to carry in a pocket, and it visually communicates "one serving" before the customer reads anything.

Each stick holds one measured dose, sealed at the factory, which removes both the scoop and the customer's ability to get the quantity wrong.

Three reasons, and one honest counter-argument.

Dosing. One stick is one serving, measured at the factory. No scoop, no guessing, no scoop buried in the powder — which is one of the most common complaints about tubs.

Portability. A stick goes in a pocket or a gym bag. A tub does not.

Freshness. Every dose has its own barrier, so opening today's stick does not expose the rest.

The counter-argument: cost. Thirty individual packs use far more film than one tub, and there is more labour and machine time per gram of product. Stick packs cost meaningfully more per serving. You are buying convenience and dose control — worth it for some products, not for all.

Our stated minimum is 500 units, but the honest answer is that this format only starts making commercial sense at higher volumes.

Stick packs run on dedicated high-speed machinery fed from roll stock. That equipment is efficient over long runs and expensive to set up for short ones, so at a few hundred units the setup dominates the price per pack.

If you are testing a product, a small flat three-side-seal sachet gives you a single-dose pack at a much lower entry cost, and you can move to sticks once the volume justifies it. We would rather tell you that than sell you a short run at a price that makes the product look unviable.
