Sizing & dieline.
We cut Surgical Glove Boxes to a dieline built around your product instead of pulling a stock size off the shelf. Send us the length, width and height of the item (or the item itself) and we return a measured dieline, free, before you commit to anything.
Length, width and height of the item itself, at its widest points. Measure the product, not the box you happen to use today.
Allow 2–4 mm on each axis for a snug fit, and more if you are adding foam, a pillow insert or tissue.
We quote as Length × Width × Height. Tell us whether you are working in millimetres or inches and we match it.
✦ Not sure of your size? Send us the product and we measure it and build the dieline.
Pricing & minimums.
We price Surgical Glove Boxes per specification rather than from a fixed list, because the same build in two different finishes can land at very different numbers. Below is what actually moves the price, so you can shape the spec before you request a quote.
The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.
Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.
Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.
Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.
Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.
Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.

Questions, answered.
Everything you need to know about Surgical Glove Boxes.
The aperture is cut with an engineered die so one glove pulls out, the rest stay in, and the edge doesn't tear. It gets hundreds of extractions per box, often at speed, so the shape and the perforation around it do most of the work.
We test the opening with a full stack and again when the box is nearly empty. Both conditions have to work, since those are the points where gloves either spill out or become hard to reach.
Yes, the standard 100-count dispenser measures 9.5 × 5 × 2.5 in, which matches common wall-bracket dimensions. A box that doesn't fit the bracket ends up on a counter, where it gets knocked and splashed.
If your facilities use a different bracket, send the inside measurements and we'll adjust the footprint. We keep the box rigid enough to hold its shape under bracket pressure as it empties.
Use a consistent colour for each size across the whole range, so staff can grab the right box in a hurry without reading. The size letter still goes large on every face that shows on the wall. Count, material and grade belong on the front panel, whether nitrile or vinyl, exam or surgical.
Latex content needs a marking nobody can overlook, because it's a genuine allergen in clinical settings. Powder-free is stated clearly for the same reason.
Gloss or matte lamination holds up best, because clinical surfaces get cleaned constantly and the box is handled every few minutes. Aqueous coating is a lighter option for boxes kept in a dry storeroom. Unlaminated board is available but marks quickly near sinks.
Most brands keep to a clean clinical style with plenty of white and simple type, and let the size colour do the visual work.
Moisture-resistant SBS or folding boxboard is the usual choice, since glove boxes live near sinks and splash zones. The board also has to stay stiff enough that the aperture doesn't sag and gape after half the gloves are gone.
Recycled paperboard is an option where your clinical environment allows it. The boxes flatten easily for the recycling bin once they're empty.
The closure is designed not to gape, so the stack stays covered between pulls and doesn't collect splashes or dust. In a clinical setting that makes it an infection control feature as much as a packaging one. The aperture edges spring back after each glove comes out.
Moisture-resistant board and a laminated face keep the box dry. We'd avoid wide openings that make extraction easy but leave the top gloves exposed.
Yes, custom glove boxes start at 500 per order. Most ranges run several sizes, and each size can share the same dieline with only the colour band and size letter changed.
That makes it practical to order a full XS to XL set in one run. We'll quote the sizes as separate print versions on the same order.
Glove boxes take 7 to 10 business days to produce after proof approval, with 5 to 7 available on rush. We'd suggest a sample first so you can check the aperture with your own gloves, and that takes 5 to 7 business days.
Any sample fee is credited back when you place the production order.
