Three Side Seal Bags
Three sealed edges and a fold — the simplest and flattest bag in the family.
Minimal material, minimal machinery and the densest shipping in flexible packaging. It has no standing ambition, which is exactly what suits sachets, samples and portion packs.

Every detail. Intentional.
Least material per unit
That is what makes it cheap.
Ships and stores flattest
No gusset volume in the blank.
One uninterrupted face
Nothing breaks the printing surface.
Single servings and samples
Where standing presence is irrelevant.
Notch for clean opening
A sealed edge still needs a tear point.
Structure follows the product
Single film through to foil laminate.
Built like architecture.
Each Three Side Seal Bags is an engineered object — measured, dieline-cut, and hand-wrapped to spec. Below: the standard build sheet.

Sizing & dieline.
Every Three Side Seal Bags is made to your fill, not pulled off a shelf. A pouch is quoted width × length — tell us what goes inside and how much of it, and we return a measured spec, free, before you commit to anything.
A pouch is sized by what goes in it, not by outside dimensions. Give us the fill weight and, if you can, the bulk — 500 g of granola needs far more bag than 500 g of powder.
We quote width × length. Flat pouches need no gusset figure — the bag lies flat when empty.
Zipper or heat seal only, valve or no valve, window or full barrier. These change the film and the bag height, so they belong in the spec rather than added afterwards.
✦ Not sure of your size? Send us the product — we measure it and build the dieline.
Pricing & minimums.
Three Side Seal Bags is priced per specification rather than from a fixed list — the same box in two different finishes can land at very different numbers. Below is what actually moves the price, so you can shape the spec before you request a quote.
The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.
Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.
Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.
Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.
Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.
Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.

“Fast turnaround, flawless quality, and the design support is genuinely exceptional.”
Questions, answered.
Everything you need to know about Three Side Seal Bags.
The simplest flexible pack there is. Two sheets of film laid together and sealed along three edges, leaving the fourth open for filling — then sealed after the product goes in.
Some are made from a single sheet folded in half, so the fold forms one edge and only three seals are required. Either way the finished bag is a flat rectangle with no gusset, no base and no built-in closure.
You will also hear it called a flat pouch, a sachet, or a pillow pack, though "pillow pack" more properly describes a back seal bag.
Choose the three side seal when the product is used in one sitting and cost per unit is the deciding factor. Samples, single-serve portions, sachets, trial sizes, flat products like wipes and masks, and anything hanging on a peg.
Choose a stand-up pouch when the pack has to present itself on a shelf or the product is used over several sittings and needs reseal.
The three side seal is meaningfully cheaper — less film, fewer steps, no zipper — but it will not stand and it holds much less for its face area. If you find yourself wanting to add a zipper and a gusset to one, you have specified the wrong format.
Yes, and for high-volume sachet production that is normally how it is done.
Instead of finished bags, we supply printed laminate as roll stock. Your form-fill-seal machine forms the bag, fills it and seals it in one continuous operation. It is far faster than filling pre-made bags and it is the standard for anything running at real volume — condiment sachets, single-serve supplements, instant drinks.
Tell us the machine and web width at quote stage, because the print repeat and reel specification have to match your equipment.
