Zip Lock Paper Bags
Paper's shelf presence with the reseal customers now assume, an honest hybrid of the two.
Paper outside and a thin liner inside, because a zipper needs a weldable surface and bare paper cannot seal to itself. The recyclability claim depends entirely on the build.

Every detail. Intentional.
Paper face, sealable liner
The zipper needs something to weld to.
A stand-up geometry
These live on counters between uses.
Tear notch, then zipper
Seal once, reclose forever.
Recyclability is build-dependent
High paper ratios qualify; many do not.
Compostable liners exist
Certified film and zipper together.
Match the claim to the build
Rather than the other way round.
Built like architecture.
Every order of Zip Lock Paper Bags is an engineered build, measured, dieline-cut and hand-wrapped to spec. Below is the standard build sheet.

Sizing & dieline.
Every Zip Lock Paper Bags is made to your fill, not pulled off a shelf. A pouch is quoted width × length. Tell us what goes inside and how much of it, and we return a measured spec, free, before you commit to anything.
A pouch is sized by what goes in it, not by outside dimensions. Give us the fill weight and, if you can, the bulk, since 500 g of granola needs far more bag than 500 g of powder.
We quote width × length. Flat pouches need no gusset figure, because the bag lies flat when empty.
Zipper or heat seal only, valve or no valve, window or full barrier. These change the film and the bag height, so they belong in the spec rather than added afterwards.
✦ Not sure of your size? Send us the product and we measure it and build the dieline.
Pricing & minimums.
We price Zip Lock Paper Bags per specification rather than from a fixed list, because the same build in two different finishes can land at very different numbers. Below is what actually moves the price, so you can shape the spec before you request a quote.
The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.
Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.
Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.
Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.
Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.
Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.

Questions, answered.
Everything you need to know about Zip Lock Paper Bags.
A zipper has to be heat-welded into the bag, and bare paper cannot seal to itself or to the zipper strip. The thin liner inside gives the sealing bar something to bond to, at the zipper and along the side and top seals. On our standard build that liner is PE laminated to kraft.
It also works as the moisture and grease barrier, which paper on its own can't provide.
The bag is sealed shut above the zipper after filling, and the first opening is a tear from a small notch in the side seal. Tearing across removes that factory seal. After that, the press-zip underneath opens and closes the bag for as long as it lasts.
We place the tear line far enough above the zipper for fingers to grip. For packs opened several times a day, we specify a heavier zipper gauge.
Some builds are, and the deciding factor is how much of the bag is paper compared with plastic. A high-paper-ratio bag with a very thin liner can go into the paper recycling stream. A standard kraft and PE bag usually cannot, because the film content is too high for most paper mills to accept.
We match any recycling mark to the build you order. The other route is a certified compostable liner and zipper, and both must carry certification for the claim to stand.
Choose a greaseproof liner for oily fills such as nuts and granola, and a standard PE liner for dry goods. Oil wicks through untreated paper and leaves dark patches spreading across the printed face. The greaseproof tier stops it before it reaches the kraft.
Send us a sample of the fill and we'll suggest the liner. Barrier is chosen by what goes in the bag, and the print has no bearing on it.
A matte kraft face with clean modern type is the usual choice, printed in one or two colours. The natural brown reads as a premium pantry item next to glossy plastic pouches. If you need photography or bright colour, switch to a white paper face.
Matte or gloss lamination, spot UV and foil are all available. Lamination changes how recyclable the bag is, so tell us the claim you want before we settle the finish.
Our two regular stand-up sizes are 5 x 3 x 8 inches and 6 x 3.5 x 10 inches, given as width, gusset and height. The height includes the tear strip and zipper band, so usable fill height is a little less than the headline figure. The gusset opens into a flat base that lets the bag stand on a shelf or counter.
If your fill weight falls between the two, we can make a custom size.
We make them from 500 units upward. That minimum is the same whether you choose the standard kraft and PE build, a high-paper recyclable build or a compostable liner. Large runs go to 100,000 bags.
For a new product line, a small first order also lets you check how the zipper holds up in daily use before you commit to volume.
Plan on 7 to 10 business days of production after proof approval, plus transit. Where a date is tight, we can rush the job through in 5 to 7 business days. Samples, which we recommend for any new liner and fill combination, take 5 to 7 business days, and the sample charge is credited against your bulk order.
We ship to every state in the USA.
