Catalogue Printing

Hundreds of pages that must stay flat, stay bound and reproduce colour consistently throughout.

Catalogues are reference documents. Colour must match from page 4 to page 240, and the binding has to survive being opened flat repeatedly.

Measure Twice

Sizing & dieline.

Every Custom Catalogue Printing is cut to a dieline built around your product — not pulled off a shelf. Send us the length, width and height of the item (or the item itself) and we return a measured dieline, free, before you commit to anything.

How to measure
01
Measure the product

Length, width and height of the item itself, at its widest points — not the box you happen to use today.

02
Add clearance

Allow 2–4 mm on each axis for a snug fit, and more if you are adding foam, a pillow insert or tissue.

03
Give us the order

We quote as Length × Width × Height. Tell us whether you are working in millimetres or inches and we match it.

✦ Not sure of your size? Send us the product — we measure it and build the dieline.

What It Costs

What moves the price
Quantity

The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.

Material and thickness

Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.

Finishing

Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.

Print coverage

Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.

Inserts and hardware

Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.

Timeline

Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.

— Frequently Asked Questions —

Questions, answered.

Everything you need to know about Custom Catalogue Printing.

Start with postage, because on most catalogue projects it is the largest single cost — frequently larger than the printing.

Postage scales with weight, and it steps at defined bands rather than rising smoothly. A catalogue a few grams over a threshold costs meaningfully more per copy, and across a mailing list that is a substantial number.

The practical method:

  1. Establish your postal weight bands for the mailing you plan.
  2. Calculate the weight at your intended page count and stock.
  3. Choose the heaviest stock that keeps you inside a band — not the heaviest you like.

Dropping text stock from, say, 130gsm to 115gsm across a hundred pages makes a real difference to the total, and the perceived quality loss is smaller than most people expect.

The other lever is page count. Removing a four-page signature is often easier than it sounds and saves both paper and postage.

What we would not economise on is colour accuracy — returns from products arriving the wrong colour cost more than the print saving.
