The poly coating runs over every interior face, and for especially wet dishes a double coat stops the board wetting through on a long delivery.

Yes, the pail geometry opens flat into a plate, and it is a genuine feature of the fold rather than a marketing line. Unfolding it undoes the same interlocks that hold the base. We print instructions on the inside panel for customers who have never tried it, since that is the surface they look at while eating.

A galvanised wire bail seats into pinched recesses on the side walls, carrying the load through the board rather than through a glued tab. It is removed before microwaving. The tuck-top closure means no tape or separate lid, so the box closes with one motion at the counter and the handle carries it out of the door.

We run a minimum of 500 pails per size. Anything over 1,000 moves onto tiered pricing. Because the same artwork usually runs across pint and quart, we can often gang the sizes on one press pass, which keeps the minimum affordable for a single restaurant.

Count on 7 to 10 business days for a standard run and 5 to 7 business days if you need it rushed. A sample pail is ready in 5 to 7 business days so you can fold it, fill it and check the handle seat. The sample fee comes back as a credit on the pail order.

Yes, PLA-lined board replaces the PE coating where commercial composting exists. The fold, the tuck top and the leak resistance are unchanged. The wire bail is the one component that has to come off before the box goes in the compost stream, which is the same step as removing it before microwaving. Without a commercial facility the PLA version behaves like paper with a lining.
