Disposable Paper Food Trays.

The tray has a formed rim, and that rim is what stops it folding under a full load. A boat is a single fold with no edge treatment, so it flexes once the portion gets heavy. On larger trays we roll the rim, which is the stiffest edge treatment available and worth the small extra cost.

Both formats vent freely and nest for storage, so the choice comes down to how much weight you are serving.

The coating tier follows how greasy the food actually is. A light side or a sandwich needs far less barrier than deep-fried chicken, and there is no point paying for a heavy grease barrier on a tray of pretzels. Clay-coated board is the most specified grade, and every grease barrier we run is PFAS-free.

Yes, moulded fibre is an option across the range. Fibre gets its rigidity from the formed geometry rather than from board thickness, so a fibre tray stays stiff without a heavier caliper. It also reads natural, which suits venues moving away from coated white board.

The trade-off is print: fibre takes a simple mark or an embossed logo, while detailed artwork belongs on clay-coated board.

Single-colour flexo on kraft or white is the economical choice for service-speed volumes. The classic red check pattern is available for concession styling, and full CMYK suits a tray that doubles as a branded item. Our inks are grease-tolerant so the artwork stays readable after oil has soaked the board.

Unprinted kraft is the cheapest route and holds up fine in high-volume service where the food is the whole show.

Trays are ordered by number, #25 through #100, rather than by inches. The number tracks portion size: a #25 is roughly 5 by 4 by 1.5 inches, a #50 is 6 by 5 by 2 inches, and a #100 is 8 by 6 by 2 inches. Depth is available shallow or deep, and the deeper wells suit anything with sauce.

Our minimum is 500 trays per size and print. Unit cost drops at tiers above 1,000, which is where most concession and school accounts settle. Runs go up to 100,000 units for multi-site operators.

Artwork setup and dieline work are free, whatever the quantity.

Allow 7 to 10 business days for a standard run once artwork is approved. If the opening date is closer than that, a rush service brings it down to 5 to 7 business days. Pre-production samples ship in 5 to 7 business days and we credit the sample fee against your first order.

Delivery is USA-wide, with palletised freight for the larger quantities.

Only inside an outer box or bag, since the tray itself has no closure. It is an open format built for hot service at the counter, where the open top lets steam escape rather than condensing on the food. The self-erecting option is there for speed at peak, and the empty trays nest to almost no volume on a shelf.

For food that needs to arrive intact on its own, a closed lunch box is the better format.
