Cologne Boxes
A heavy glass bottle presented as an object, so the insert has to hold it the way a display would.
Fragrance bottles are dense and irregular. A moulded or die-cut cradle holds the bottle upright and centred so the box presents rather than merely contains.

Every detail. Intentional.

Sizing & dieline.
We cut Cologne Boxes to a dieline built around your product instead of pulling a stock size off the shelf. Send us the length, width and height of the item (or the item itself) and we return a measured dieline, free, before you commit to anything.
Length, width and height of the item itself, at its widest points. Measure the product, not the box you happen to use today.
Allow 2–4 mm on each axis for a snug fit, and more if you are adding foam, a pillow insert or tissue.
We quote as Length × Width × Height. Tell us whether you are working in millimetres or inches and we match it.
✦ Not sure of your size? Send us the product and we measure it and build the dieline.
Pricing & minimums.
We price Cologne Boxes per specification rather than from a fixed list, because the same build in two different finishes can land at very different numbers. Below is what actually moves the price, so you can shape the spec before you request a quote.
The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.
Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.
Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.
Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.
Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.
Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.

Questions, answered.
Everything you need to know about Cologne Boxes.
A fitted seat cut to the bottle's footprint holds a weighted, square flacon so it cannot shift or rotate in the box. Heavy glass moves with real force when a box is dropped, and a loose bottle chips its own corners.
We also leave headroom above the cap. Metal and zamac caps press dents into a lid that sits too close, and that mark shows on the shelf.
Go rigid with a magnetic closure for specialty retail and gifting, and use a heavy folding carton with matte lamination for drugstore and mass channels. The box should match what the shelf around it looks like.
Rigid builds allow the harder edges and architectural shapes that men's fragrance tends to favour, and the weight in the hand supports a higher price. A folding carton keeps unit cost down on bigger runs and still takes foil and deboss well.
Yes, a two-cavity insert holds the main bottle and a travel atomiser side by side. Both sit visible when the lid comes up, which is how most holiday coffrets are laid out.
We cut each cavity to its own item, so the small atomiser does not rattle next to the heavy bottle. The same approach works for an aftershave or a shower gel in a gift set, provided we have the actual pieces to measure.
Soft-touch or matte lamination with gunmetal or copper foil and a blind deboss covers most of what this register asks for. Palettes lean toward black, navy and amber, and matte generally reads better than gloss here.
Wood-grain and leather-look wrap papers suit a whisky or heritage direction, while kraft with a single foil colour suits a barbershop line. Inside print is available too, so the fragrance notes can sit under the lid.
A 100ml cologne box usually comes out around 2.5 × 2.5 × 5 in, but the real size is set by your bottle and cap. We measure the flacon at its widest and tallest points, then add the insert thickness and cap clearance.
For a range in 30ml, 50ml and 100ml, each size needs its own box dimensions. The graphics, type and finishes can stay identical so the three read as one family on the shelf.
You can order from 500 boxes. That covers a single scent launch at a sensible size, and the same tooling carries you up to 100,000 as the line grows.
If you are launching two or three scents in one box structure, each version can share the dieline and change only the print, which keeps setup simple and the range consistent.
Samples take 5 to 7 business days, and the production run follows in 7 to 10 business days after you sign off. If a launch date is tight, rush production shortens the run to 5 to 7.
With premium fragrance boxes we would always check a physical sample, since wrap paper colour and foil on soft-touch look different in the hand than on screen. The sample fee is deducted from the production invoice.
Yes, recyclable board with a textured stock, a single foil and a deboss can look every bit as considered as a laminated rigid box. Kraft in particular suits the heritage and barbershop end of men's grooming.
Choosing fewer, better finishes also helps recyclability, since heavy lamination and mixed materials are harder to separate. We can advise which combinations keep the box in the paper stream.
