We carve a single platform with a separate cavity for each item, so glass, reeds and cards sit in one composed layout. The difficulty lies in the mix of shapes, since a squat candle, a tall diffuser and a slim spray each need different depths.

Laid out well, the open box reads as one gift. We start from your actual pieces and draw the platform so the tallest item does not force a wasteful box height on the rest.

Vials sit capped and upright in channelled rows, typically 8 to 12 across a platform. Each channel is cut to the vial diameter so nothing rolls or clinks when the box is turned over.

A travel-mini row can sit alongside the vials in the same platform. We leave a slot under the lid for a voucher card, because the try-then-buy model depends on it being seen when the box is opened.

Yes, wherever fragrance oil can reach the board, the cavity should be lined or coated. Diffuser oils and candle fragrance soak into bare paperboard fast and leave marks that show through the wrap.

Reeds need their own long cavity too, because they are longer than most of the other pieces and snap if they are packed across the box. We usually pack them dry in a sleeve beside the bottle.

Soft-touch lamination with a foil logo is the standard dress for this tier, often with a debossed pattern on the lid. Pearlescent paper and spot UV suit brands that want a lighter, more modern look.

Inside print is available, so the underside of the lid can carry scent notes or a short brand story. Niche houses tend toward a minimal register, with one colour and plenty of empty space.

A common discovery box measures around 8 × 5 × 2 in, with candle and home coffrets built larger to suit the pieces. The shallow depth keeps every vial in view and keeps the box easy to post.

For mixed sets we size from the tallest item, usually the diffuser with reeds, then plan the other cavities around it. Send us one of each piece and our dieline team will lay it out for free.

The minimum for luxury scent boxes is 500 pieces. From there you can scale to 100,000 as seasonal gifting and repeat orders grow.

Many brands order the gifting quarter's volume in one run and a smaller top-up later. With a constant box structure, the insert and the lid print are the only parts that change between collections.

Production runs 7 to 10 business days from approved artwork, or 5 to 7 on rush. Before that, a physical sample of the box and insert takes 5 to 7 business days.

For mixed-format sets we would not skip the sample, because each cavity has to be checked with the real candle, bottle and vials in place. You get the sample fee back as a credit against the order.

A wrapped rigid box with a magnetic lid will handle months of opening and closing, which is how these sets are used. Candles and diffusers last a long time, so the box often stays on a dresser or shelf as storage.

That longer life is a good reason to choose rigid over a folding carton at this tier. We build it on recyclable board, so it can go in the paper stream when it is finally retired.
