Perfume Boxes
Perfume bottles are small, dense and irregular, so every one needs its own cradle.
Fragrance packaging is a fit problem before it is a print problem. The bottle shape dictates the insert, and the insert dictates the box.

Every detail. Intentional.

Built like architecture.
Every order of Custom Perfume Boxes is an engineered build, measured, dieline-cut and hand-wrapped to spec. Below is the standard build sheet.

Sizing & dieline.
We cut Custom Perfume Boxes to a dieline built around your product instead of pulling a stock size off the shelf. Send us the length, width and height of the item (or the item itself) and we return a measured dieline, free, before you commit to anything.
Length, width and height of the item itself, at its widest points. Measure the product, not the box you happen to use today.
Allow 2–4 mm on each axis for a snug fit, and more if you are adding foam, a pillow insert or tissue.
We quote as Length × Width × Height. Tell us whether you are working in millimetres or inches and we match it.
✦ Not sure of your size? Send us the product and we measure it and build the dieline.
Pricing & minimums.
We price Custom Perfume Boxes per specification rather than from a fixed list, because the same build in two different finishes can land at very different numbers. Below is what actually moves the price, so you can shape the spec before you request a quote.
The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.
Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.
Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.
Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.
Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.
Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.

Everything you need to know about Custom Perfume Boxes.
A platform fitment cut to the bottle's base and shoulder holds an irregular flacon, and it is designed before the outer box is sized. With fragrance, fit comes first and print second.
The bottle should be gripped low and at the shoulder, with clear headroom above the cap so pressure never marks the lid. We make these fitments in formed paperboard, foam or moulded pulp to suit the weight of the glass.
Yes, most fragrance houses keep one cutting die for a bottle and change only the print for each flanker. Versioned cartons share the structure, the insert and the tooling, while colour, foil and scent name change with each release.
That keeps setup costs down and helps a range line up on the counter. If a flanker comes in a different bottle, though, it needs its own insert even when the outer box stays the same.
Testers usually go in a plainer version of the retail carton, cut on the same die but printed differently. They are marked as testers and often skip the cellophane overwrap and the premium finishes.
Running them off the same tooling means no new dieline and no separate structural sample. We can schedule the tester print alongside the retail run so both arrive together.
Foil stamping combined with embossing is the classic fragrance treatment, usually over a soft-touch or gloss laminated ground. Colour and texture do the job of describing the scent, so a citrus fragrance and a woody one rarely share a palette.
Fill volume, such as 30ml, 50ml or 100ml, goes on the front panel. Pearlescent paper, spot UV and inside print are all options, and a textured wrap can rotate by season on the same structure.
A 50ml bottle commonly fits a 2.5 × 2.5 × 4.5 in box, and a 100ml bottle a 3 × 3 × 5.5 in box. Treat those as starting points, since shoulder shape and cap height move the numbers.
Each fill size needs its own box dimensions. The design can carry across all of them so the range reads as a set, and we will draw every size's dieline at no charge.
We produce custom perfume boxes in runs of 500 and up. The same structure scales to 100,000 units, so a boutique launch and a department-store rollout share one set of tooling.
Boutique houses launching a few scents often order each one as a printed version on a shared die, which keeps the first order manageable without giving up a distinct look per scent.
Book at least 7 to 10 business days ahead of when you need finished boxes, counted from artwork approval. Rush service takes 5 to 7 business days when a launch moves forward.
Add another 5 to 7 business days in front of that if you want a sample, which we would recommend for any new bottle. Whatever you pay for the sample is taken off the production order.
Heavy folding carton is the designer standard for most fragrance, and rigid board is for prestige and gift tiers. A good folding carton takes foil, emboss and a cellophane overwrap well and runs efficiently on a filling line.
Rigid construction adds weight and protection for direct-to-consumer shipping and for boxes people are expected to keep. Both come in recyclable board, and folding carton is the easier of the two to recycle.
