Fewer, wider folds and tissue interleaving at each fold line keep creases shallow. Tight folds pressed for weeks in a box show for a long time after hanging, so we plan the fold pattern first and size the carton to it. Tissue between the folds softens the crease rather than setting it.

The box is never sized to compress the fabric. A tight fit saves a little freight and costs a complaint.

A window shows the true colour and weave, which photography on the outer distorts. Customers buy curtains on texture and shade, and printed artwork shifts both. A clear film panel on the front lets them see the actual fabric while the rest of the carton carries the room-setting photograph.

Window film is applied inside the panel so the edge is sealed and doesn't catch on the fabric.

Lined curtains are heavier than customers expect, so a reinforced carry handle is standard on retail packs. The box is bulky and awkward to lift, and a handle stops it being carried by a flap that then tears. We reinforce the handle root and the base to take that weight.

Unlined and voile curtains in folding boxboard can usually go without one.

The width per curtain or per pair, the drop, and the heading type, all stated clearly on the front. Ambiguity over width is the biggest cause of returns in this category, so the panel states which it means. Eyelet, pencil pleat or tab top decides whether the curtain fits the track.

A short note that creases relax after hanging heads off complaints. Full CMYK room photography carries the rest.

Common sizes are 14 by 10 by 3 inches and 16 by 12 by 4 inches. We work from the folded fabric stack, not from the box, and add clearance so the curtain lies in without hard compression. A long format suits paired curtains folded once lengthways.

Dimensional weight rules apply, so the fold plan balances crease depth against freight volume.

Orders start at 500 units. Above 1,000 the unit price drops in tiers, and a window, handle or printed sleeve is quoted as a line item so you can see what each adds. Kraft and matte options are priced on the same quote.

A run of 500 is enough to cover a single size and style across a season.

Standard production is 7 to 10 business days from artwork approval. If the stock is needed sooner, a rush slot brings that down to 5 to 7 business days. Pre-production samples also take 5 to 7 business days, and the sample fee is credited when the bulk order is placed.

We would always sample this format, because the fold plan is easier to check on a real box.

We advise against a fully sealed film wrap, because trapped moisture in a closed carton causes mildew. Fabric needs to breathe over a retail season, so the pack uses an unsealed tissue wrap and a board carton with no film liner. The window panel is the only film on the pack.

E-flute corrugated and folding boxboard are both recyclable once the window is removed.
