Curtain Packaging Boxes is priced per specification rather than from a fixed list — the same box in two different finishes can land at very different numbers. Below is what actually moves the price, so you can shape the spec before you request a quote.
The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.
Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.
Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.
Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.
Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.
Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.

You cannot eliminate it — a curtain has to be folded to fit any sensible box — but you can reduce it substantially, and you can stop it becoming a complaint.
Reducing it:
- Fewer, wider folds. Many tight folds set far more deeply than a few broad ones.
- Tissue interleaving at the fold lines, which softens the crease rather than letting fabric press directly on itself.
- Do not compress. A box sized so the fabric is squeezed hard against its own folds sets creases much more deeply over months of storage.
Stopping the complaint: print a short note saying creases relax within a few days of hanging and that steaming accelerates it. Customers who unfold a creased curtain with no explanation assume it is a quality problem. Told what to expect, they simply hang it.
Place that note where it is seen at the moment of opening — inside the lid — not in a care leaflet that goes straight in the bin.
