For bottles, glass or anything fragile we move to a moulded pulp insert, which absorbs shock far better than board. The outer box is the easy part.

Yes, and it is the first question we ask. A rigid greyboard presentation box handed across a desk can be as premium as the budget allows. The same box posted on its own arrives crushed. For gifts that go by mail we either build a shipper-rated corrugated construction or put the rigid box inside an outer carton so it arrives as it left.

It is the message surface, and it is the first thing the recipient sees on opening. Most companies leave it blank, which wastes the one moment they have the person's full attention. A short line from the sender or a note about the contents prints on the lid liner at little extra cost, and the outer can stay quiet with a deboss.

Matt lamination with a debossed or foiled logo, rather than full-colour print across the outer. Soft-touch lamination is the upgrade that registers the moment the box is picked up. A magnetic closure or ribbon pull adds to the opening. The wrap paper over the greyboard carries all of this, so the finish is specified on the wrap rather than the board.

The two common builds are 10 × 8 × 4 inches and 12 × 10 × 5 inches, measured as internal length, width and depth. The insert is engineered to the actual items, so send us the contents or their dimensions and we will size the cavity layout and then the box around it, rather than the other way round.

500 boxes, hand-packed if you want them filled. Corporate gifting usually runs in the hundreds to low thousands, and the price tiers drop above 1,000. We can produce up to 100,000 for large programmes. Packing labour is quoted as its own line because every unit is filled by hand.

The boxes take 7 to 10 business days after proof approval, and 5 to 7 business days on a rush. Add time for hand-packing if we are filling them. A sample box with its insert takes 5 to 7 business days, and we build one on every job so the fit of the actual items is checked before the run. That sample fee comes back as a credit on the run.

Usually, which is the point of building it on rigid greyboard. A non-collapsing box with a good insert ends up holding cables, stationery or the next gift, keeping the branding on someone's desk. Greyboard and the paper wrap are recyclable once separated from a magnet, and a moulded pulp insert goes in with paper.
