Description
Overview

Printed Napkins

Print on tissue — an absorbent, low-tension substrate that fights ink at every stage.

Napkin printing works within real constraints: limited colours, soft registration and food-contact inks. Simple, bold artwork is what actually reproduces.

What We Make

The full kit of capabilities.

Food-Safe Low-Migration Inks
Specified as standard for direct mouth and food contact.
1, 2 and 3-Ply
Absorbency matched to the food being served.
Embossed Borders and Logos
Quality that print cannot achieve on tissue, and it works on plain white.
Cocktail to Dinner Sizes
Sized to the service format.
Quarter and Eighth Folds
With print positioned for the folded presentation.
Spot and Full Colour
Solid-colour artwork suited to the substrate.
Airlaid Premium Material
Cloth-like feel for fine dining.
Fold-Aware Layout
Artwork positioned so the logo shows when folded.
Photographic Print
Tissue absorbs and spreads ink. Photographs, gradients and fine detail turn muddy — bold solid artwork is what works.
Small Type
It fills in and becomes illegible. Keep text large and simple, or use embossing instead.

Measure Twice

Sizing & dieline.

Every Custom Printed Napkins is cut to a dieline built around your product — not pulled off a shelf. Send us the length, width and height of the item (or the item itself) and we return a measured dieline, free, before you commit to anything.

How to measure
01
Measure the product

Length, width and height of the item itself, at its widest points — not the box you happen to use today.

02
Add clearance

Allow 2–4 mm on each axis for a snug fit, and more if you are adding foam, a pillow insert or tissue.

03
Give us the order

We quote as Length × Width × Height. Tell us whether you are working in millimetres or inches and we match it.

✦ Not sure of your size? Send us the product — we measure it and build the dieline.

What It Costs

What moves the price
Quantity

The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.

Material and thickness

Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.

Finishing

Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.

Print coverage

Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.

Inserts and hardware

Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.

Timeline

Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.

— Frequently Asked Questions —

Questions, answered.

Everything you need to know about Custom Printed Napkins.

Bold and simple. Tissue is soft, absorbent and low-density, so ink soaks in and spreads slightly rather than sitting crisply on the surface.

What reproduces well:

  • A logo in one or two solid colours.
  • A monogram or initial.
  • A border or repeating pattern.
  • Short text at a reasonably large size.

What does not: photographs, gradients, fine line work, and small type. All of it fills in and turns muddy — the ink spread that is invisible on a large solid shape destroys anything delicate.

If your brand identity depends on fine detail, consider embossing instead. A pressed border or logo gives a napkin a tactile quality that print cannot, it reproduces detail far better than ink on tissue, and it works beautifully on plain white. A great many premium restaurants use an embossed white napkin rather than a printed coloured one for exactly this reason.

One layout note: napkins are seen folded. Position artwork so it lands on the visible panel rather than hidden inside the fold.
