Four questions, and they are all about your product rather than about packaging.

1. How does it travel? A box sold from a shelf and carried home has an easy life. A box posted individually is dropped, thrown and stacked under heavier parcels. That is a much harder journey and needs corrugated construction rather than folding board. Getting this wrong is the most common expensive mistake we see.

2. How fragile is it? If it is fragile, the insert matters more than the box. Movement is what breaks things — a strong box containing a loose product still arrives broken.

3. Is it sold on a shelf or online? On a shelf, print quality and facing matter. Online, the unboxing matters. Different priorities, and worth choosing deliberately.

4. What does it weigh? Board grade comes from weight, not from box dimensions. Small dense products need more structure than large light ones.
