Two things change between fifty and sixty years, and both push toward a more formal treatment.

Nobody from the founding remains. At fifty years there are usually still a few long-serving people who connect the present to the past. At sixty there generally are not. The story becomes genuinely historical — told through documents and records rather than living memory. That makes archive material more important, and it makes accuracy matter, because someone will check the dates.

The organisations that reach it are different. Sixty years is rare, and the companies that get there tend to be long-established, often institutional, frequently with a civic or professional dimension — third-generation family firms, professional bodies, schools, trusts.

Those two things together argue for restraint. A golden jubilee can be warm and celebratory. A diamond jubilee usually reads better understated: the achievement is self-evident, and loud design undercuts rather than amplifies it.

On colour, resist rendering "diamond" literally. Glitter and gem graphics look cheap at this register. Clarity — a clear foil, a spot gloss, or simply a beautifully executed blind deboss — does far more.
