Overview

Kitchen Utensil Boxes

Long handles, awkward heads and a shelf that was designed for boxes half the size.

Utensils are long relative to their bulk, which makes the carton narrow and prone to flexing. Hanging presentation is the usual answer.

What We Make

The full kit of capabilities.

Edge and Point Protection
Sleeves and guards so sharp utensils cannot pierce the pack.
Shaped Card Mounts
Holds awkwardly proportioned utensils in position.
Touch Openings
Customers feel handle grip and weight, which is what sells.
Set and Single Formats
Multi-piece layouts with contents shown clearly.
Material Specification Panels
Steel grade, heat rating and dishwasher suitability on the front.
Reinforced Hang Tabs
For peg retail formats.
Window Panels
Where a touch opening is not permitted.
Header Card Formats
Cost-effective hanging presentation.
Unprotected Sharp Items
Points and edges work through board with handling. A utensil coming through its pack is a safety issue, not a cosmetic one.
Loose Fit in an Oversized Box
Awkward proportions leave empty space, and a rattling utensil reads as cheap regardless of the product quality.

Measure Twice

Sizing & dieline.

Every Kitchen Utensil Boxes is cut to a dieline built around your product — not pulled off a shelf. Send us the length, width and height of the item (or the item itself) and we return a measured dieline, free, before you commit to anything.

How to measure
01
Measure the product

Length, width and height of the item itself, at its widest points — not the box you happen to use today.

02
Add clearance

Allow 2–4 mm on each axis for a snug fit, and more if you are adding foam, a pillow insert or tissue.

03
Give us the order

We quote as Length × Width × Height. Tell us whether you are working in millimetres or inches and we match it.

✦ Not sure of your size? Send us the product — we measure it and build the dieline.

What It Costs

Pricing & minimums.

Kitchen Utensil Boxes is priced per specification rather than from a fixed list — the same box in two different finishes can land at very different numbers. Below is what actually moves the price, so you can shape the spec before you request a quote.

What moves the price
Quantity

The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.

Material and thickness

Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.

Finishing

Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.

Print coverage

Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.

Inserts and hardware

Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.

Timeline

Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.

— Frequently Asked Questions —

Questions, answered.

Everything you need to know about Kitchen Utensil Boxes.

With a protective sleeve or guard over the working end, specified deliberately rather than relying on the carton.

Whisks, peelers, zesters and knife-containing sets have points and edges that work against board every time the pack is handled — in a warehouse, on a shelf, in a basket. Over enough handling, they come through.

That is a genuine safety issue rather than a presentation one. A retail assistant reaching into a shelf or a customer picking up a pack can be cut by a utensil that has pierced its own packaging, and that is a liability you do not want.

Board alone does not reliably contain a point. What works:

  • A card or plastic sleeve over the blade, tines or point.
  • A shaped mount that holds the working end away from the box wall.

Tell us which items in your range are sharp and we will specify protection for those rather than over-engineering the whole set.
