So we specify moisture-resistant board that holds its strength, a VCI liner against corrosion, and marking printed straight onto the board in place of a stuck-on label.

Protective life varies by VCI grade, so we confirm the rated period with the liner supplier against how long your spares will sit. For multi-year storage that figure matters more than any other spec on the box.

Where a part is especially sensitive to corrosion or high in value, we'd add a sealed inner bag as a second barrier. Parts with oil residue can go in a coated interior so the board doesn't soak it up.

Adhesive labels lift and fade over years in storage, and a spare that nobody can identify might as well not be there. Direct print on the board stays put for the life of the box.

We print the part number oversized and high contrast on several faces so it reads however the box sits in the racking. Adding the equipment reference, meaning which machine the part belongs to, helps the person who needs it but doesn't have the manual to hand.

Most spares go in kraft board with durable flexo marking printed directly on the faces. Where each part number is applied at packing, we supply unprinted kraft with defined zones left clear for it.

Handling symbols for weight and orientation, a fixed barcode position for scanning, and a printable date and batch area are all standard. The packing date gives stores staff a simple way to rotate older stock out first.

We size from the part's overall envelope plus any foam insert, measured as inside length, width and depth. Two common sizes are 8 by 6 by 4 inches and 12 by 9 by 6 inches, though most spares programmes end up with a family of sizes.

Production takes 7 to 10 business days once the spec is signed off, or 5 to 7 on rush. A sample is made in 5 to 7 business days, and its cost is credited against the full order.

With stored spares, it's sensible to put the sample in your racking with a real part inside, to see that the number reads from the aisle and the box closes square over the insert.

Yes, we can build in a reclosable lid or tuck closure for kits that are opened and only partly used. The remaining parts then go back on the rack in the same box, with the marking still readable.

A self-locking flap holds closed without tape, which matters when one box gets opened several times over the years. Taped cartons tend to get torn open and then left loose on the shelf.
