Gummy pouches use a child-resistant zipper that only opens with a deliberate, coordinated action and closes again after each serving. Resealing matters here because a multi-serve pack gets opened many times.

We run the zipper across the top of a stand-up pouch, with a tear notch above it for first opening and a tamper-evident seal so the buyer can see the pack hasn't been opened before.

Yes, every surface that touches the edible is a food-contact laminate or food-grade board. Pouch print is reverse-printed and buried between film layers, and carton print stays on the outside face, so ink never meets the product.

For chocolate and chews we can add a single-serve wrap inside the main pack. The wrap is food-contact material too, and it keeps pieces apart so they don't stick together in a warm delivery van.

Gummies mostly go in child-resistant zipper pouches, while chocolates and chews often suit a CR jar or a carton with single-serve wraps inside. The pouch is lighter to ship, and the jar gives a rigid pack that holds its shape on the shelf.

Cartons work well for bars and portioned pieces because the flat panels give the dose and ingredient text plenty of room. We can sample more than one format if you're undecided.

Opaque barrier film hides the gummies completely, and the print does all the selling instead. Where a state requires hidden contents we build the pouch or jar without a window and let the artwork show what the product is.

Brands in this space tend to pick an adult culinary look, closer to a chocolatier or tea brand than to the candy aisle. Matte and soft-touch surfaces with a single foil accent suit that register well.

A common child-resistant gummy pouch is 5 × 8 in, and jars and cartons are sized to the dose format and piece count. We quote pouches by width and height plus gusset, and cartons by inside length, width and depth.

Edibles carry a lot of required text, so check panel area before anything else. We lay the panel out with room for the required marks at a legible size, and if it won't fit we step the pack up rather than shrink the type.

Matte lamination and soft-touch are the usual choices, with foil or spot UV used sparingly for the brand mark. On pouches the finish is part of the film, and on jars it goes on the label or the outer carton.

Many edible brands set the milligram figure large and early in the layout, so we keep a clear area for it in the design. CMYK plus PMS gives accurate brand colour on both film and board.

Edible pouches, jars and cartons all have a 500-unit minimum per design. Larger programmes can run to 100,000 pieces.

If you sell several flavours, a shared pouch design with a flavour label or a variable panel can keep each flavour within one run. Otherwise each printed flavour counts as its own design at the minimum.
